  1. I don't get it. If you try a food that makes you ill, don't eat it again. Food sensitives can be complicated , and not all roads lead to gluten. I applaud those companies who are willing to work with us. It's not a proven, nor perfected science yet, AND I GET THAT. I'm grateful for the effort.
  2. News Release from Chuck E. Cheese. Gluten free pizza trial: http://www.pizzamarketplace.com/article/194217/Chuck-E-Cheese-s-tests-gluten-free-options
  3. Mine was booted long ago. (Me too Sylvia). I got back into this thread to find the link.
  4. Shrimp, onion, okra and tomato combined would be great over grits. I must try.
  5. Kelly, I agree! But there is a small pocket of people who will benefit, as your family. For those with a limited gluten sensitivity, this is good news. I mention this in my first post here. And it will get the fad-gluten-free-dieters. I think it's the marketing ploy that is disturbing most of us, as mushroom indicated.
  6. Here is me: (don't know how to photo) Lisa Alice, I fear this is a very bad partnership. Perhaps a name change is in order to - National Foundation for Gluten Sensitivily Awareness. I feed kind of sold out here! 2 minutes ago · Like · 2 And on Dominio's: If the gluten free pizza is not suitable for those of us with Celiac Disease, then w...

  8. I tweeted about ten times the other day @Dominos. I expect they are also gone.
  9. Wow, just took a look. That's where I'm spending the rest of my evening. One at a time. <snicker> Made a few tweet
  10. I see it as a step forward...not a large step, but forward never the less. For those are able to eat gluten light or are not bothered by cross contamination/contact, a hot pizza might be a real treat. Not everyone is fortunate to live by a Pizarro... to die for gluten free pizza. If this program is a success, perhaps they will invest in separate...
  11. Sylvia, I would love your recipe, when it's convenient. I don't do pizza often, but I need it good when I do.
  12. Tonight was homemade chick salad with tomato aspic and deviled eggs on a bed of lettuce. It was so suitable for a hot day in May.
  13. I guess you will get a variety of replies...everyone has different comfort levels. Most likely, you will have to find your level by trial and error. Be conservative at first, until you have some healing and education under your belt...then see how it goes one step at a time. But I have know others who have used this as a excuse to buy some really...
  14. I am a firm believer that a good hand rinse and a run in the dishwasher is good enough. I would replace your scratched Teflon pots and pans. But I would do that gluten free or not. A private toaster is a must and I have a separate colander for my gluten free pasta. And make sure your fiancee is good about cleaning up after himself. And no smooching...
  15. Yummy I do love lamb shanks. But they are hard to get here without a special order. You have lambs, we have.....um, pigs. I made beef/pork BBQ in the Crock. Second time I have used a crock pot, but everyone was very pleased with the results. That's a good thing. ...with cole slaw and mac & cheese. Country tonight. Feel better soon Loves...
  16. I think the issue of cross contamination is HIGHLY overrated. Only a small percentage of the members here are sensitive enough to be affected by miniscule amounts of cross contamination. As Peter mentioned, Kraft is a very reliable company that will list ALL forms of gluten on their ingredient listing, which is not required by law, as only wheat is required...
  17. Yes... www.pinterest.com and join.
  18. I prepared an entree I found on Pinterest. A salmon steak topped with crushed pistachios, brown sugar, lemon juice and dill weed. Bake at 400 degrees for a few minutes. I served it over rice and a side of fresh asparagus. Very yummy and super duper easy!
  19. All though interesting, very interesting, I don't see a connection to Celiac Disease.
