Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Yes...you could still need to detox sulfa. I'm guessing that after so many years of abx you would probably benefit from sulfa detox.

LED is not for sensitivities. Its for detoxification of specific toxins present in the body. Mercury, other metals, Dioxin, PCB's, etc......a long long list of toxins that either show up in Asyra, muscle testing, ART...whatever method they use to test.

The LED will target a toxin and there will be rapid detox of that toxin in the first 24 hours. Following the treatment specific supplements are used to keep the process going. An LED treatment can start a cascade that goes on for months...the supplements are necessary to assist in the detoxification process.

I had 5 LED treatments. Sulfa was first and mercury was last. In between I had LED's for Candida, aspergillus, PCB's, Dioxin, 3 viruses, Lyme, Babesia, phenols and a few other things which I cant recall right now.

Personally, I think its kind of pointless to treat the bugs while major toxins are still in the body ....but thats the way this Dr. did it. Cowden does not treat bugs with LED because they come right back unless the body is detoxed of heavy metals and other toxins first.

I didnt feel any type of detox symptoms after the LED's for bugs...however I did feel very tired after the sulfa and mercury treatments. Since my LED treatments...Lyme and Babesia have never shown up in another ART session.....so maybe the treatments helped?? I'm not really sure.

Thanks for this explanation, Rachel. I'll ask Dr. E specifically when I see her. It might be that mainly it took so much time for ART because for every thing she was trying to balance it took a long time to find something that would work. So it might be it was a time thing, plus not too much showing on ASYRA, plus using drops from the ASYRA cleared some stuff and it held (like phenols).

I'm going to post exactly what needs to be run for a hematology work up for Sherry, but since people PM me a lot asking, I'm going to bookmark this page so I can give the link to people when they need it.

Hematology:

Wow, thanks Kassandra! Got it copied to a file now, I'm hoping on Monday to see if I can find these locally, or at least some of them.

I assume that you all have metal issues as well..? I know I've heard you talk A LOT about Copper Rachel :)

I have more problems with metals than with Lyme. So far Lyme doesnt seem to be a major player...my CD57 was 78 and Lyme doesnt show up as a major stressor for me.

I got sick after having a couple amalgams drilled out (unsafely) and mercury always shows up as my main issue. The elevated copper is secondary to the mercury toxicity...because mercury tends to throw all of the minerals out of balance.

I'm doing IV DMPS....so far I wasnt able to excrete much mercury and we stopped the treatments until we could determine what is going on with my sulfation pathway. I suspected copper toxicity, got an RBC test which confirmed it and now I'm back to DMPS IV's.

I dont think that my previous treatments were successful because I had too much copper in my system and DMPS will pull out copper before any other metal. Its possible all my treatments were kind of wasted because I kept putting more copper in (via mineral IV's)...I just kept excreting copper after my DMPS treatments....and very little of anything else.

I'm hoping that now we will start seeing the mercury come out...since I'm no longer supplementing copper. If its still not coming out we'll have to figure out whats locking it up....or if I have any genetic weaknesses. Right now I'm optimistic that DMPS will be more effective this time around. Keeping my fingers crossed anyway.

Kassandra- I havent done my ecoffee either :( I tried last night and it DID take a lot of energy, and I didnt even end up successfully doing it because I couldnt get myself to insert it. I there was like an nenema hotline where you could call up a nurse to come over and do it for you. I'd call it ehotline. hehe. I do take epsom salt and baking soda detox baths, did you do one Kassandra?

Do those baths make toxins come out, or draw them out, or are they just relieving symptoms of detox...im hoping that it actually DETOXES me...

I did ecoffee a couple times. The thing is, I can't do it when my mom is home, it stresses me out! And lately she's been home a lot. If you buy a special enema bag from Walgreens, it's also used as a d%$#@#$ and hot water bottle...that has a special thing for insertion, and it makes it a lot easier. Also, you will need lubrication. If you want to ask me more questions about it...you can PM me. I don't mind answering...after all Carla and I had a fun trip together, she told me all the stuff I needed to know. ;) (Remember that Carla?! )

I was taking epsom salt baths, but I stopped because I was told not to since I'm on a sulfur free diet. I then tried hydrogen peroxide baths because that's what they suggested instead, and I bought TONS of it, but it's been SO hot here lately, I can't stand the thought of a bath. Same with a sauna.

Yes, this is a special place for support, where we don't have to defend our choices or complaints, we aren't seen as "basket cases" and we can get ideas and help. Thanks again everyone!

 I have to second this. :D

I'm optimistic too.

Candice,

I don't know how much of a problem metals are for my family. We all have some problems and I'm planning on getting my amalgams removed this fall. We are probably the healthiest on this thread as we aren't chronically ill. Our main problem has been food intolerances which, for the children, got much better after LED's last summer. Otherwise, various of us are dealing with parasites, candida and maybe still some viruses.

Hey, everyone. Heard from my husband today and the assessment is that it is not really necessary for me to go to the disaster area next week. I am quite relieved, as I think that is better for me health-wise.

Thanks for the update Sherry. I'm glad you'll be able to stay home. I imagine the disaster area would be quite stressful and not what you need right now.

I have something totally off topic...

I have had my period lightly for about 8 days (probably more, but I don't really remember). My question is, is there any way, if it doesn't stop, to stop the bleeding without going on BCP?

I don't know if anyone knows anything about this, but I thought I'd ask. I just don't want to go 90 days again, because I am already borderline anemic.

How to avoid getting periods:

The shot with progestin (a form of progesterone, and it lasts 3-6 months)?

Some have side effects, but many do great on them.

And, it might be wise to check TSH, ft4 and ft3 and TPO ab every onece in a while, as thyroid issues can have a lot to do with anemia, blood clotting time (aVWWS etc) and length of periods / no periods. We hear about stuff like that on the thyroid forums.

I'm relieved, too. Though I can't imagine how they can possibly be doing okay without you! :o:lol:

Kassandra, here is what I found at http://www.womenlivingnaturally.com/articlepage.php?id=29. Apparently, it is normal for people your age to have this bleeding. It's bad for you because of your anemia problem.

If you choose to try progesterone cream, it's not used every day, only about 14 days into your cycle until mestruation .... but this article sounds like in your case you might need it every day. I was taught to only use it the second half of the cycle because that is when your body is supposed to make more progesterone.

Anovulatory ("not ovulating"), caused by a low level of the hormone progesterone. Progesterone is necessary for the ovary to regularly release an egg (ovulation), as well as for regulating menstrual bleeding. Low progesterone causes irregular and heavy menstrual bleeding. This type of dysfunctional uterine bleeding is common before age 20 and after age 40 (perimenopause). During these times of transition into and out of the fertile years, it's normal for progesterone levels to be variable.

Progesterone has been shown to help prevent overgrowth of The Endometrium, which prevents dysfunctional uterine bleeding.(Heavy Bleeding is often the product of irregular breakdown of the endometrium In Teens and women who aren’t ovulating regularly, progesterone promotes ovulation, restores a predictable cyclic monthly menstrual period.

Natural Alternatives to Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding

Bioidentical progesterone cream (Progensa 20)

Bioidentical progesterone cream increases progesterone levels. You need adequate and sustain levels of progesterone to induce ovulation. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is due to too little progesterone being produced by the body.

Herbal Formula (ProSoothe)

ProSoothe is an all natural herbal formula that significantly improves uterine fibroids and pelvic pain/cramps, irritability, tension, mood swings, acne, headaches, breast pain, bloating and weight gain.

Also found in this synergistic herbal formula is dandelion and vitex,(chaste tree) that helps the body remove exogenous,(external excess estrogen)from hormone therapy or contaminated food,(xenosteroids).

Milk Thistle (Silymarin)

Beyond the treatment of liver disorders, everyday care of the liver lays a cornerstone for total body health. Naturopaths and others who look beneath the symptoms of an illness to its underlying cause, often discover that the liver has had a role to play. This is true across a vast range of different ailments from headaches to PMS.

God i would love to meet you girls in person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too! :)

After my experience, I'd still suggest several opinions especially re: foot surgery. The man who just did my custom orthotics tho not a doctor, has worked with the medical school for many years in two departments, father is an orthopedic surgeon, and he is the trusted source of orthotics by this major athelete's doc I mentioned. Anyway, he was a great source of information!!! He told me 3/4 of foot surgeries are failures.

I've had custom orthotics made (for the PF) and they were great. Yeah, I know the foot surgeries are kind of iffy. My friend just had one for bunion and she had a great experience, but I know they all aren't like that. Her before and after photos are amazing and she is relatively pain free (currently still in the healing process--the soft cast just came off).

Woohoo...how about this summer while I'm in the US? ;) You, Andrea and I could get together!! LOL

Um, I'm thinking even with 3 or 4 of you, you MIGHT get me into Walgreens but I doubt even that many of you could get me into THAT aisle!

Yeah, but I'm betting she'll go for the chocolate, not the enema bag.

Yeah! What Carla said! That or lip glosses!

I'm relieved, too. Though I can't imagine how they can possibly be doing okay without you! :o:lol:

Yeah, I'm so indispensable, :lol::lol:

Actually, the folk there who are trying to coordinate are getting way overloaded. Huge numbers arrive every day unannounced to "help," with varied levels of training (many none to speak of), and many disaster areas are not opened up for teams to go in. So we'll wait and see when and if they can use help. Meanwhile the next two days we'll train our folk and hopefully they'll be some of the best if they do go! (They've just finished 3 years of training). <_<

So I have been really pushing it this week, preparing for this extra training, plus take care of guests, cooking and stuff. With my hubby away I have to do all the errands, shopping etc too. I have to carry all the groceries in a local taxi and stuff--just the heavy weight several times has my shoulders really acting up.

Sooo, I am very relieved to be going home to rest on Sunday. Meanwhile, I have to co-teach the next two days.

Well I don't need to go to that aisle as I was there last winter for a new bag...LOL. BUT, you'll never get me back there for a prescription at that pharmacy!!! I had nothing but headaches getting my meds there.

I see Sherry got so excited about Vegas in 3-4 years she didn't answer. Unless she's coming back 2x this summer, she's coming in towards the end of June. Only 1 month away!

Sooo, I am very relieved to be going home to rest on Sunday. Meanwhile, I have to co-teach the next two days.

That sounds like a very busy time for you. I hope you'll be able to get some rest/wind down time back home.

I suppose it'll be the typical around 2 weeks for results though huh? I HATE waiting for results, even when they aren't mine.
