2 days without new posts! How will we crown a new monarch?

I agree - that's 2 days too long!!!!

Well I had a lovely bit of afternoon delight (TMI?) with Clark while Tony was at the gym. Since we don't know how long the surgery will lay me up we've been like two teenagers. It's like being courted again. I get my meals in bed and quite a bit of pampering. Tony's pampering me also. He's baking gluten-free desserts. He made yummy brownies last night but he baked them in a cookie tray. We had just moved in here last year and he first developed a love for baking during the 2nd semester of school (with a girl he likes). He didn't know where I kept my 8X8 pan and didn't want to mess up the kitchen too badly (he baked them at 2AM to surprise me in the morning). The brownies were awesome. Half were chewy and half were like a chocolate chip cookie. He's doing all the things he knows I want him to do without being asked. This is big because he was fairly rebellious last year after being yanked from NJ and all his friends.

Just in case I'm offline for a while (surgery Tuesday AM) I wanted to thank you all for everything you've done. When I joined last October I was a mess. Living in a new state, sick as !@#$, finding new doctors (and medical conditions) and feeling really lonely when Clark wasn't here. You have all been a lifeline for me. I've learned (and continue to) so much, made amazing friends and above all laughed. You have become my family and I you all!!!!

OK, enough soppiness! Time for me to be psilly. Went to see Paul Simon Wednesday night (great concert) and it seems as if ticket master recognizes Clark's credit card number and always seats us behind some strange brew of people. This concert was no different. The people in front of us (around my age) drank a lot of beer and alternately left for the bathroom. Every time one of them got up 5 others had to stand and let them pass. It was like the wave at a football stadium except that's not the way you want it at a concert (especially if you're vertically challenged). So after the first two times we're starting to get angry. By the third time I started laughing which spread to Clark and Tony. I laughed so hard I cried. Finally The upbeat calypso music (Diamonds on The Soles of Her Shoes) went into the Sound of Silence and all was well with the world. We have one concert left (U2) and then we are done until Clark finishes getting his Master's and gets a new job. U2 was a rescheduled concert from last year. We're using that as a vacation and will spend a week in NJ visiting friends. Tony is staying a week longer (he was already approved for the time off at work).

OK, I've chewed your eyes off enough. If I'm not online tomorrow (I might cook two or three dinners in advance) I'll catch up with you as soon as it's comfortable to sit at my computer. Our laptop died so I can't visit from bed or my couch.

Things are slow. Ah, for the busy days in January of 2009. Susie (DingoGirl) was crowned and then went away for a few days. When she came back, she was no longer queen. It took just two days to push her off the throne.

Nowt much to tell, t'was marshalling for a local 5 mile race at the weekend.

My job was to write down their bib numbers as they some through the finish line. I did like the power the clipboard and pen gave me.... but came a cropper when 5 people all crossed the line altogether & I couldn't get their #'s down quick enough (cue 'clipboard laydee' running after said runners )

Turning in my paper today. The instructions are: analyze one of the following papers - and it's worth 30% of our grade. I have no idea if I did what he wanted or not.

Only taking one class during summer (maybe) and it's a programming lab with no homework/tests/etc. And only two credits. I am soooo excited about having the summer off (well, except for the intensive stat modules at the end of June). Gonna clean up two years worth of overgrowth around the house.
