Stonyfield Farms Yogurt

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I just happened to check out the Stonyfield Farms website (I couldn't find the kind i used to buy and wanted to see whether it was still available) and i found this link:

Certified Gluten Free

Apparently, they have (finally) completed their gluten-free certification process and now ALL of their yogurts are gluten-free! I for one am ecstatic, as I am not a huge fan of plain yogurt and this has always been my favorite brand.

yes!!!!! :D that's really exciting

Gluten Free since 10/07

Mildly Lactose Intolerant, slight intestinal symptoms after eating milk products, but easily corrected with lactase enzyme

Endometriosis- DX'd 5/07

Gluten Antibodies- "negative"...don't know exact numbers, am highly suspicious...

DXed celiac 12-19-07 via genetics/elimination diet- DQ2 allele

Brother with Celiac, aspergers...his tests were all negative (he didn't have genetics done), including endoscopy, but he definitely is at the least gluten intolerant...highly suspect my mother has it as well- she has hyperthyroid, fibromyalgia, hemochromatosis, and now colon cancer, and she has been weak and exhausted and just generally sick. She's going to get tested.

I was just going to ask if anyone gets sick when they eat Stonyfield Vanilla yogurt. I don't get flavored yogurt much anymore but the last two times I ate Stonyfield's French Vanilla yogurt, I got sick. I don't remember what else I ate the last time but today am certain nothing else could have been the issue. I'm thinking maybe the "natural vanilla flavoring".

There could be something in it, like an artificial flavor ar sweetener that disagrees with you. But they would not be gluten free if they put gluten in the yogurt.

If they are "certified gluten-free" they must know that the flavorings they use are gluten-free.
