Hmm..

Oh man I am not feeling good at all today. Thats what I hate about Celiac, that I dont know if whats wrong is the flu or cold or celiac. But its slowly been building up (the sickness) the last 4 days and today seems to be the worst. But thats not going to stop me from anything. If I get everyone else sick thats ok. Todays Lab Tests

This morning I had my blood work done after fasting for eight hours. They will also check my white and red cells. Then I went to the place where I will have the CT scan of my abdomen and pulvis (sp) on Monday. Picked up the Barium junk I have to drink before the test and asked if it was gluten free. They checked and still were not sure. So, I am hoping it is gluten-free. If it is not, I suppose there is nothing I can do about that. I don't feel well this morning and the stomach pains I st

Gluten Reactions

I'm usually a stickler about not cheating on the diet even though I never had any really terrible reactions. But a couple of months ago I went to a tea that a friend had for the ladies at church. Yup, there again goes my dad ruining my day. Yesterday because of him I had an asthma attack (from anxiety attack). Today out of nowhere he starts yelling at me for having a sore throat. Nyc - No Postcards Wish You Were Here

After reading Lindylynns blog about eating in NYC, I wish we had retired there. Of course I hate the humidity, but the eating out sounds great. last couple of days have been good gluten-free-wise. ra has been awful. i've done some walking, that's always good. ds liked the gluten-free bread, I thought it was too heavy. we both liked the flavor of the pancakes but again, it was too heavy for me. I think I would prefer to do without the substitutes, ds would like them again.very tired this morning. ds worked the late shift so we didn't get home until 11:00 or so, I couldn't get to sleep until after 1:00. stomach has been feeling bet

Eating, Really Eating

Today's topic is restaurants. Really good ones, not just the chain places like Outback.   I used to love eating out at fine restaurants (OK, and on our yearly road trip from NY to Louisiana to visit my husband's family, it was always Cracker Barrell).       Another concern I had with my cockup with the bandage was with the larvae sitting in the gauze potentially drying out and dying while I futzed around. Seems things are ok. I've been having tingles under the stretch bandage I used to secure placement. I'll know for sure in a couple of days when I see the entry wounds.
