I dont think I ever met a guy so willing to go to the store alone just to buy tampons.

Something about that is just so unsettling...just so wrong. :lol:

Explain briefly?? :huh:

Does anyone think I can do this?? :lol:

Thanks Rachel !

Tom,

Here's the weird thing about the Jerry Lyrics. The Sleeve (or whatever you call it) says cold beers too. However - and this is important: On the "Dirty Drowning Man" Lyrics, he clearly says:

"I drink Campari with marinated Wild Hog". Since I'm listening to so much Primus, I heard this this morning. It's Campari. I'm busy occupying myself with useless stuff. Thought I'd mention it.

Thx!! :)

It blew me away that every site I saw had it wrong!

I seriously never even considered *trying* Campari until "Jerry was Race Car Driver"!

It's a very worthwhile drink and w/ enough ingested, unforgettable. Somehow a diff kind of buzz from any other drink I've had.

No drinker could disagree that tequila buzz different from wine, but it feels weird to give Campari its own category! :huh::):lol:

Being local, Primus used to play all around the Bay Area ALL the time!! "fish ON!"

Unsure whether it's even warranted, but I'm a little embarrassed to have to ask "what's the OLD meaning?"

<imagines the conversation 'heading' into dangerous territory>

Well I normally hear the term as "head banging" but have also heard head jamming in reference to certain types of music. :P It's probably a case of someone getting the phrase mixed up and then it kind of takes off. Maybe it's just a "my circle of friends" thing. :lol:

Anyways I was pretty spoiled with him...massages every night too. But yeah...I decided its better to be single. :huh:

Yes, yes ... Bay Area indeed.

Wine - Booo! Tequila - Yaaay ! Campari - A bit like Harold of the Rocks ... 'Pretty Bizarre Gus'.

Tomorrows the big day....and YAY for having two bm's today!!!! :D

Not loose yet....but I'm feeling alot less stressed about it now. :)

I think I'll bump up to 4 pills. 4000 mg's of vit C and 2000 mg's of magnesium. Hopefully that should be enough. :)

Ok....so heres my LED schedule.

Theres a couple things I'm not too sure of...will have to ask about those things tomorrow.

Tomorrow is for Sulfa.

Session #2

Diox, PCB, Amm. Caus. <------------not sure what that is

also 12 foods

Session #3

Babesia, Borrelia and Parvo Virus

also 20 foods

Session #4

Coxsackie, Aspergillus, Hanta Virus and Candida

Session #5

Hg (mercury) 1-3 (this includes all 23 forms of mercury)

Thio <--------not sure what that is short for

So thats it....all the flower remedies have been chosen....autoimmune stuff is included in every treatment.

The flower remedies help with detoxification and also assist in the emotional upheavel that often occurs during detox. He said they give some protection and they also contribute to detoxification in their own way.

There is also some "resetting" involved. I'm not sure what part of the treatment involves that but he said that in addition to getting rid of the toxins there is also some "resetting" to try to reset my response to things which I'm a little "twitchy" with.

He said its sort of like what BioSET does but different. Anyways, the same principle...which is to try get my immune system to stop reacting to some of the things its sensitive to. Stuff that might be in the air and normal people would never notice it...yet my body is reacting to it....stuff like that.

He said avoiding big food allergens can make a huge difference as far as how "twitchy" I am with all these other environmental things. The main thing he was concerned about was dairy.

At one point he mentioned phenols....they're included in one of the treatments. I told him I have big problems with phenols. He said he would have to agree with that because I tested for every one that he has.

It was pretty much the same with BioSET.....I reacted to all the phenols that were tested.

I then asked him about my enzyme function. If I'm not handling the food compounds and chemicals because mercury is blocking these enzymes....will removing the mercury allow for my body to resume normal enzyme function??

He said...definately...things will start working again when enough of the toxins are removed.

He said we dont even have to get it ALL out in order for me to feel alot better. I wasnt free of toxins before I got sick and my body still was able to function....and it will again...once we remove enough of the burden and the scales tip back in the other direction. :)

He said you cant find a person in this country who doesnt have measurable amounts of mercury in them...and *I* had mercury long before I got sick....yet I was functioning. So yeah....he said there are ways these things do come back and function again once we remove enough of the mercury and other toxins.

So I asked him about gluten. When people develop a gluten intolerance because that enzyme isnt working properly...that will be reveresed when the mercury is detoxed?

He hesitated and said..."Sometimes not." :o

He said from what he's seen with gluten intolerance that one might not get better.

I would imagine it *wouldn't* get better in every case....because some of the cases would be people who have triggered a Celiac gene.

I'm still hopeful that this will reverse for me...since I know I'm not genetically susceptible.

So then he talked about how for most of our time on this planet we were not eating gluten grains...its only in the last few thousand years.

He said when you look back 70,000 years and ask the question..."Did they live a long time??"

Yeah....they lived to be 70, 80, 90 100 years old. Longevity was pretty common back then.

Did they have Diabetes? You cant find a trace of Diabetes back then.

It isnt until you get to the point in human history where agriculture was developed that you start finding any evidence of Diabetes.

I read Dangerous Grains a couple years back and yeah...we were definately affected when we start eating these grains.

He said it has "fed" us....but it probably hasnt "served" us.

I asked him if it would be better for someone like me to continue eating gluten-free even after I'm better?

He said "Maybe". He said the thing is...I can play around with it....eat gluten....see how I feel.

So yeah...thats what I'll probably end up doing. A gluten challenge. :D

Besides that I'll continue with the testing I've been having done and see how my body responds with that as well. Then I will decide how to proceed with the diet. :)

You've got lots of things bunched together.....we're only doing one at a time so far.

Yup...the Dr. tests to see how much he can include in one treatment.

He did alot of muscle testing to determine what things would be done together and in what session.

Scott originally had 7 treatments. I'm assuming they re-check everything before they start a treatment because he said that they ended up not being able to do all the things they had planned on for one of his LED's....so now he's got a total of 8.

I have all 3 groups of mercury in one LED. The Dr. said many times he has to to do them seperately...and sometimes in 4 sessions. He said my body is saying that its ok to do all 3 groups in one treatment.

He puts as much into one session as my body can handle without getting weak.

:o

Check this out.....I was reading about Vit C and mold because I wanted to see if taking large doses of Vit C would lessen some of my reactions to mold.

I wondered about that because if using Vit C on moldy foods can "detoxify" them....maybe it would have the same effect in me...and therefore lessening the severity of my reactions?

So this is what I found!

Studies have also shown that a vitamin C deficiency can send blood levels of histamine through the roof. Vitamin C has the properties of a natural antihistamine.

Vitamin C keeps your immune system from making as many histamines to begin with and helps you get them out of your bloodstream faster as it can detoxify the excess histamine released. It is effective because it reduces the severity with which the histamines in your body can attack.

There's no doubt that vitamin C can help tame allergic reactions, at least under laboratory conditions. Several studies have shown that high levels of vitamin C help reduce histamine release from mast cells and also make histamine break down faster once it is released. Not only that, but studies have also shown that vitamin C deficiency can send blood levels of histamine through the roof.

So I remember Anna saying I have all this histamine which is why I'm getting reactions just from a little stress (like a rude customer at work), or a person walking by with perfume or a food, etc, etc. She said my immune system is just highly reactive and releasing histamine in response to *everything*....I'm constantly in "fight or flight" mode.

I've been complaining about the histamine reactions forever now. :(

So now the new Dr. tells me I'm seriously lacking in all the nutrients...especially the Vit C and magnesium. :o

Heres more...

Well I lied when I said I was only taking 500mg of magnesium, lol. I guess I hadn't figured it out since Anna adjusted some of my dosages 3 weeks ago...I'm taking 1 gram of magnesium and 2.5 grams of vitamin C...gee, wonder why I have diarrhea, lol.

:lol: Yeah that would do it!!

I saw Dr. F today. We talked about my amalgams being taken out and doing a DMSA challenge. I was surprised to learn that companies like Thorne make a DMSA product. He said he does one DMSA challenge and if it comes back high for metals, he does a second one. He said that sometimes the first one will get all the metals out. If it doesn't, he does a second DMSA challenge. If that one comes back high, then he'll do the chelation.

I'm in no big rush to do the chelation and he wasn't pushing me to do it. So for now, I'll just do the ARTsy fartsy stuff, and call it good.

Dr. F was telling me depressing things, about how all the lakes in Colorado are contaminated by mercury because of coal smelters. Even the reservoir that is my source of drinking water :o . Even if you remove the metals from your mouth, heavy metals are all around us. You can't get away from it!

He was telling me about how the coal smelters in China emit mercury and how it goes up the food chain to polar bears. He said that polar bears are the most toxic animals on the planet (don't know if this is true). They can have problems turning around in the water because their brains get addled with mercury :( . I said, do you have any other depressing news? I was already depressed when I went in there.

He told me some funny stuff after that, I think to cheer me up :) .

This is definately true. The coal fired power plants in China are increasing environmental mercury *everywhere*. Its affecting all of us....I hadnt heard of the Polar Bears getting the worst of it....but yeah.... its not surprising.

There is more mercury in the environment now then there ever was...and tons more being added everyday.

Dear Rachel,

That was really strange about that one boyfriend! :o Men who like getting tampons are just odd! :lol: I am with Donna on this! It reminds me of on South Park, when Mr. Garrison had his sex change and went shopping for tampons for the first time! :lol: It was hilarious!

Thank you for the rebounding link! I wondered where I could find more information on it! Now I know! I hope to get time to read the whole thing later this week! Right now, I have to concentrate on my Finance reading!

Maybe you will eat gluten again! I hope so, too! I doubt I could ever do that, but oh well! There are worse things. A girl in England is allergic to water! Only 20 people worldwide have this allergy! I feel so sad for this child.

Amazing scientificness on Vitamin C and Magnesium! That explains why I feel better when I eat chocolate! I also lose weight. I thought the histamine connection made a lot of sense. Maybe my sensitivities to some things will be less if I get some Vitamin C.

I was interested about the phenols. Those are in tea and a variety of other things. Dogs also react to them. Tea, coffee, and some other things will kill them or make them very ill. Luckily, since you are human, you could probably be able to go back to having things containing them later.

You sure have a heck of an LED schedule! That should keep you busy! We will be bored without you tomorrow! However, it is important you get well first. I am sure we all will be anxious for an update!

Dear covsooze,

Rebounding helps the lymphatic system drain. The link Rachel provided is probably the best thing to explain it. I am not sure I could explain it well! I have a jogging trampoline, but stopped using it. That may explain why I felt better when I used to workout on one.

Dear Donna,

Ah, yes...head banging! :lol: Beavis and Butthead come to mind. :lol: I used to watch that all the time. They were so incredibly stupid, but funny! You could not help but laugh!

I hope my rebounding plan helps some. Maybe my hips will shrink. That would be nice. I lost weight, but it seems my top half is shrinking more than my trouble spots. :( Being pear-shaped sucks!

I do not blame you for not asking your husband or boyfriends to get tampons. It makes sense to me. They would not have a clue what to buy! :lol: It is not like they use them! At least, I hope not. :unsure:

I am glad you figured out the D! Too much of a good thing is still too much! At least you know now!

No more mystery D! Plus, the cookies could use an apology! They were unfairly blamed! :lol:

Dear tom,

I agree that married people probably request such things from each other more. I doubt many singletons require that of their boyfriend or girlfriend. It depends on how long you have been together, too. Some couples are not married, but have been together long enough that they do stuff like that for each other. My older brother and father have both bought them for me at times.

I do not know anything about Camparis. I do not drink. None of it tasted good to me. Most of it just lit my gut on fire! No thank you!

Dear Kat,

Congratulations on quitting smoking! Keeping busy is a good idea. You won't think about it so much that way. I do not know anyone who is optimistic about quitting. I know you can do it! You have the right attitude!

Camparis are not something I have ever had. Alcohol does not tempt me much. I do cook with it on occaision. I did have an entree with Jack Daniel's steak sauce once. Healthy Choice made it. This was prior to going gluten-free. It was so good!

I am glad you found a chlorella! Whole Foods is not here, so I would probably have to go to GNC or my favorite little healthfood store in town. As long as it contains nothing that could hurt you, I see no reason not to use it! Just because something is inexpensive does not mean the quality is poor.

A lot of people assume poor quality if the price is low. Sometimes it is true, but other times not.

Dear Carla,

ROTFLMAO! :lol::o:P I can just see you getting those Preparation H wipes! You will be like "These are my husband's." You have a good point when you said at least they know the tampons are yours when he goes and gets them! There are some things no one wants to be caught dead buying! Preparation H seems to be one of them!

That makes sense that the Lyme is cyclical. *Warning to tom, DO NOT READ* My period originally was at the end of the month. For the past two years, I have had breakthrough bleeding off and on constantly. I am not anemic, but it is not exactly fun. Still, the symptoms seem to flare for several days to a week. What do you think? It is primarily the GI symptoms that worsen.

Dear Alison,

I agree that seeds and nuts both are difficult to digest. Nutbutters are not so harsh, but still need to be considered for other reasons. The fat is a big problem for me. A little is fine, a lot is not.

I do not have any idea what the name of TAC's baby Megan's formula was.

Have you spoken to her recently? How is Meg? Nothing has been on the thread for a long time.

I checked it several months ago. I know there was a heart surgery needed.

Lisa might be able to tolerate baby food. It is difficult to say. Before I got my gallbladder out, I could not even tolerate that! I had horrible indigestion from everything! Anything with bananas particularly set off reflux back then. Those stupid seeds!

Dear Claire,

That dentist sounded like a real downer! What is it with these stupid bubble poppers? I hate those people. I can be in a great mood, and they just have to get their big fat needle out and burst my bubble! No such people are allowed in Rachelville, thank goodness!

How terrible about the mercury coming from coal smelting! It is not totally surprising, but it is a scary reality to face. The polar bears need our help! Hell, we need our help! I know a lot of people enjoyed going to China, but the pollution is so bad, their health rapidly deteriorates after arriving, especially when they stay there for months. I recall author Peter Hessler talking about it on C-Span when he was discussing his book "A Year Along the Yangzte". Do remember a few years go there was this mystery cloud of pollution over China's eastern coast?

Sincerely,

Jin

He puts as much into one session as my body can handle without getting weak.

Dr. E has tried that with Talitha but her body wouldn't have anything to do with doubling up.

I wondered about that because if using Vit C on moldy foods can "detoxify" them....maybe it would have the same effect in me...and therefore lessening the severity of my reactions?

So I think I'm gonna make sure I keep taking these supplements. ;)

This is actually the first Vit. C I've been able to tolerate so I'm still pretty amazed that the Dr. was able to find me one which I'm not reactive to. :)

Sounds like this will be really beneficial for you.

I'm glad the doctor found a Vit C that would work for you too.

He was telling me about how the coal smelters in China emit mercury and how it goes up the food chain to polar bears. Ok, appointment update.....not that there is much to tell. :P

Micah and Seth had the Sulfa group done. No problems whatsoever. Micah went through the Chi machine with no complaints. Dr. E had a really tough time trying to find something his body would accept for detox support. I forget the exact name of what he wound up with....colon something. He was a trooper taking that. Had to be taken out of the capsule for him. Dr. E told him it would be sandy/gritty. He then went through his LED treatment.

Seth didn't have the Chi machine. She just tested him for what his body liked for detox support and then did the LED treatment. He liked the Chlorella. So he's got chewable chlorella to take. He's been good about taking it. He did real good for his treatment too. We sat him in a cushy chair and she gave him something to hold onto. He didn't fidget or anything.

Talitha had her treatment for the mumps today. She's been doing fine so far......Yay!

Micah and Seth has been tired but that's it.

Maybe you won't hurt tomorrow Rachel. Talitha is like super low pain threshhold too though.

Next treatment will be Recreational Drugs for Seth (wheat/cleaners), Mercury group for Micah and Hep B for Talitha.

I forget what's after that for Seth. Micah's only other toxic substance is the Halo group and then we'll move to the food sensitivities. Talitha will need to finish with MEK group and Fungal group before she gets to the food sensitivities. Seth has Pertussis, BXT, 245T, Halo, Gold, Polio before he gets to the food sensitivities.

Dr. E doesn't want us doing another ART/ASYRA until we finish all of those things. Seth only had his 2 month vac's and he reacted or has residuals to almost all of them. :( He also came up with Pneumonia/Meningitis but I don't know if that's a LED treatment at this time or not. It's not flagged as such. I'll have to ask Dr. E about that.

At one point he mentioned phenols....they're included in one of the treatments. I told him I have big problems with phenols. He said he would have to agree with that because I tested for every one that he has.

It was pretty much the same with BioSET.....I reacted to all the phenols that were tested.

Phenols showed up for me again with the Asyra testing too. I was cleared for it a few times with BioSET. WTH :huh: ?

Dear Andrea,

It is encouraging to hear T and the boys are doing so well with their treatment! I am so glad to hear that! I was worried that it would be tough because they are all so small! Yay for progress! You must be proud of your troopers!

I am glad you got a laugh out of that one! I was thinking about a Beavis and Butthead episode after I wrote that. One time, they went around asking women if they had any "thingies", while laughing. They got slapped a lot. Finally, the got tampons and Beavis stuck one up his nose to stop the bleeding from being punched! It was hilarious!

Dear Claire,

That is weird about the phenols. You were fine at BioSet, but not with the Asyra? How long was it between the two tests? Maybe that has something to do with it? Has anything changed from that time until now?

Sincerely,

Jin

P.S. Hi Nikki! I see you!

Rachel - great scientifness about the Vit C and Mag. I was thinking the other day that I have a problem with histamine. I need to get to the shops today and get some Vit C I can actually take that won't gluten me...Hopefully I'll get the results of the last lot of bloodwork I had done today.

:lol: Very cool! No harming of innocents (or otherwise). :lol:

I would imagine it *wouldn't* get better in every case....because some of the cases would be people who have triggered a Celiac gene.

Stupid celiac gene! I hate mine. :lol: Course, I'd just be so happy if I could eat YOGURT again. :(

I'm in no big rush to do the chelation and he wasn't pushing me to do it. So for now, I'll just do the ARTsy fartsy stuff, and call it good.

Don't blame ya here...I'm more afraid of this than any of the lyme treatments I might have to do with the exeption of IV antibiotics and such. Now THAT scares me. (Although almost certain I won't have to do that.)

Ok, appointment update.....not that there is much to tell.

I'm finding it all very fascinating. Haven't decided if I want to do it or not, but with every post that you, Claire and Rachel post, I'm getting closer to deciding. :P

~~~
Well, rehearsal on the mics was last night. As I feared I freaked out the first time through my solo on the mics. I couldn't find my note (which was made harder by the fact that they played the track a half note higher--they did that on purpose). The second time through was able to relax a bit more, then by the fourth or fifth time I was just belting it out. Unfortunately, we did that song first so there wasn't anyone in the auditorium yet and so didn't get to practice in front of other people. We have one more rehearsal tomorrow (as requested by our choir director because some didn't know the words yet :lol: ) Sunday, I have to be there at 7:30 a.m. for more rehearsal. We sing our first song at 9:05, and the second one with my solo is at 9:29...so those who pray, pray hard. :lol:
Don't you hate that? Some of our songs are played a half step lower to be in the choir's range ... since I'm the newest one there, sometimes they forget to warn me! :o Fortunately, as the piano is playing, I hear that it's in the wrong key ... being a flute player, I can't transpose, so I end up sitting out ... I transpose later (with pencil as opposed to in my head) so I can play it next time .... then sure enough, they play it in the key it's written in. :lol:
You'll be fine Sunday. It's always good to practice where you're singing .... that way it's familiar by the time there's an audience, so you'll hardly notice them. Now that you've worked on it so hard, relax and sing from your heart.
He said when you look back 70,000 years and ask the question..."Did they live a long time??"
Yeah....they lived to be 70, 80, 90 100 years old. Longevity was pretty common back then.
<raises eyebrow>
Hmmm Rachel, didja know I'd have to dispute this? (I'll guess yes)
All through school, I'd been told that basic traits like lifespan & height are always increasing, due to "micro-evolution". (Not to be mistaken for the "used-to-be-a-monkey" variety)
Hadn't everyone been taught this?
Cavemen didn't live to 100 nor were they 9 feet tall.
A little googling (and a LOT of sifting) found this.
http://www.longestlife.com/forever.htm
The average life expectancy of the cave man was about 16 years.
In 500 BC the average life expectancy was about 20 years.
In 400 AD it was 35 years.
In 1900 it was 47 years.
In 1930 it was 59 years.
By 1975 it had advanced to about 71 years, and in 1989 it had advanced to 74 years for men and 78 years for women.
Did they have Diabetes? You cant find a trace of Diabetes back then.
Can't find much of anything except dusty old bone fragments.
Age can be well-estimated from teeth, but it may actually be impossible to check for diabetes in bones that old.
And just where would they be getting sugar? Wouldn't the onset of diabetes correlate w/ the beginning of cultivating sugar cane or whatever?
Cavemen also show no evidence of osteoporosis, alzheimer's or "I've fallen and I can't up" advertisements. :)
P.S. Please don't take this as disputing anything else said, or disputing the good this guy will do you.
You know I just can't let alleged "facts" sit unchallenged when actual anthropologists w/ good hard data & methods so strongly contradict what's been alleged. :)
