  1. Unfortunately I have lost about 5 lbs which is alot being as I am already about 10lbs underweight. I want to gain some weight. I feel I am wasting away because so many foods cause me pain. It's ironic because I am a recovering anorexic and when I was mentally sick, I didn't want to eat over fear of gaining-----now it's not my mental state, but my physical state. Ain't life one giant irony!!!
  2. My boys are extremely small. My 6 year old is shorter than a 3 year old. My 9 year old is the size of a 5 year old. Their ped scoffs at my insistence of celiac even though I have it. We are their only voice!!! Go for it
  3. My blood test came back neg as well. But I had been off gluten a week. All I know is when I went gluten free all my problems went away.
  4. 8years of chronic migraines went away!!! Fatigue even after 10 hours of sleep gone!! Severe digestive pain gone!! Acne disappeared!!!! And I was the one that found out!! Drs couldnt figure it out!!
  5. I eat bag after bag of rolos
  6. I believe it because I got sick as a dog eating 2 over t giving break (my treat while everyone else got pies)
  7. I had dealt with intense chronic migraines for 8 years before I went gluten-free and now I only get them when I get cc'd and they occur about 2-3 hours afterwards and I can typically fend them of with an OTC (which was unheard of before) and instead of lasting for days they might just last a few hours!! There is hope!!!
  8. I have just been gluten free since November and recently rx'd cefdinir for a sinus infection and bactrim for an abscess and I have had the worst intestinal issues since taken them--in fact I stopped. I'm afraid asking or another antibiotic will cause the same intense pain--what are your takes on antibiotics on our already damaged intestines???
  9. Ate gluten-free At Melting Pot

So good to hear about this!! My family takes me there in my birthday and this will be the first going gluten-free!!!!
  10. Oatmeal?

I use gluten-free oats from health food store!! Pricey but worth it for me!
  11. What Helps You Fight Cravings?

Best way---thing of those things when you have been glutened!! After the agony of a migraine when I accidentally have a cc issue--I don't even crave the cinnamon melts from mcd's.....or deep dish pizza....or crispy Kreme donuts......or a hot buttery loaf of fresh bread......Oh...wait, maybe I do lol!! I love udi's blueberry muffins when I crave my baked goods that are now gone or there is a "monster cookie" recipe that's gluten-free!!!! And I eat alot d cheese! It staves away themonster of "what was" good luck
  12. I get a migraine about 3 hrs after even the smallest amour of gluten----gut problems start the next day---go figure!?!?! Good luck!!!!
  13. Is MSG Safe?

Msg triggers my migraines in a horrible way! I have been gluten free since nov 11 and the only 4 day long migraine was due to 1tsp of taco bell taco seasoning in my vat of soup :-( never again!!!!!
  14. Iphone Apps?

I use shopwell--it's online as well a an app. You put in your food restrictions and when you are at the store you can scan or type in a food and it will rank it green is ok yellow is caution and red is not the best....if it has gluten it will have a hand in a red circle---you can also look at the ingredient and it highlights what yOu can't have--its a little stricter, meaning it will say a food isn't ok when sometimes it is, but that I better than being the opposite!
  15. Relief

I have dealt with migraines, acne and gi issues for 8 years now and I'm 33. After many neuro visits, dr visits, meds that made me nutty and a stint with a chiropractor--I solved my own problem am went gluten-free---I didn't know life could be so good!!I have a negative blood panel but I had been gluten-free for a week prir. I am now concerned about my 8/5 year old boys--they are the size of a child 3 years younger than they are, my oldest started having seizures with nothing showing up in his 2 eeg's. I am dealing with getting a panel done but butting heads with their pediatrician--their dad and I are divorced and I fear he won't be as strident about a gluten-free diet since doesn't deal with any issues that I do---just wanted to introduce myself.
