I am 23 and married to the love of my life. We have been married for over 4 years now. Unfortunetly, my husband is a member of the US Navy, so we don't always get to spend much time together. We have two children together, Maylee - 2-years-old, and Conner - 4-years-old.
I have been having abdominal pain since November 2008. I have seen over 10 different doctors, all focused on different fields. After months of feminine testing, I was finally seen by my primary care physician. He did all sorts of tests, but the only one that came back with any abnormal results was the Celiac Panel (I didn't know it was called that then). So, I was sent to a GI specialist who is the biggest idiot I have ever met. I had my endoscopy Feb. 6, 2009 and biopsies taken. In the end, I was "diagnosed" with Celiac. He told me I "probably" have Celiac but he couldn't say, "Yes you have Celiac Disease." I am not sure why, but I think it has something to do with liability and malpractice. (He sends me Celiac Support Group information though!?!)
So, "Diagnosed" since February 25, 2009
I recommend the book 'Heathier Without Wheat' by Dr. Stephen Wangen for anyone suffering from gluten problems.
