Appetite for Awareness Returns to Philadelphia
The Area's Top Medical Professionals and Premier Chefs Unite at Pier One
to Increase Awareness of Celiac Disease and the Gluten-free Diet.
The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA), along with Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals will hold the Appetite for Awareness: a Gluten-Free Cooking Spree (A4A.) A4A is the nation's most prestigious gluten-free event dedicated to raising further awareness of celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder affecting 1 in 133 Americans. The event teams top chefs and doctors from all over the Philadelphia and tri-state region together for a cooking competition to create the best gluten-free dish.
