Why are people ignoring Celiac disease, and not understanding how serious it actually is?

On Friday, in school we are having a party in wellness and stuff. So my teacher was saying how everything just needs to be Nut-free, and then she didn't say anything after that. So now, our class D.A.R.E officer is bringing in Timbits, and everyone else is eating cupcakes, IT"S SO UNFAIR! But, I'm not gonna say anything, but it was rude that she didn't even acknowledge the fact that I have Celiac Disease, and I absolutely, under no-circumstance, can NOT have gluten. So I have to sit in class, while watching everybody eat Timbits and cupcakes. 🧁🍩😔
