Certainly Karen--Eric Clapton is great too. I will listen to any good guitar player. Karen, have you ever hear Kenny Wayne Sheppard play guitar--he is absolutely wonderful. He is rock/crossover country. I even like many of Guns-n-Roses songs.

I just can not tolerate elevator music!!!!!!!!!!

Bullet For My Valentine

Story of the Year

Linkin Park

Chevelle

Disturbed

Breaking Benjamin

Staind

the list could go on and on. as a side note for anyone who listens to similar bands...do any of you ever get the "you listen to angry music!" comment? that little comment always drives me insane.

I struggle to name all the bands/artists I'm into.

Current favourite though is Apocalyptica. If you ever wanted to hear Metallica played on cello, they do it. So beautiful that 'until it sleeps' actually made me cry.

Other favourites-

Afi [Go Despair Faction!]

Four Star Mary

Cyclefly

Silverchair

Goo Goo dolls

The Offspring

Steelyeye Span

Fairport Convention

Voltaire

Warren Zevon

I'm really just here about my wife. Its all her fault!

It is amazing. The second I heard them I DL'd everything they've ever done, and they've been on my media player non stop ever since. At the very least, you want '20 years of reinventing the cello.' Honestly, pure beauty. If anyone ever tells you that Metallica ain't 'real' music, you can prove 'em wrong!
