  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Endoscopy

Thankyou all, thats what I was hoping to hear, and what I was told by the office but was just curious to see others experiences. Im sure all will go smoothly! I know they will do multiple biopsies, they have with my other one so Ill be quite happy making sure they have enough not to want to do it again lol. My fears are settled compared to what they were so thanks to all of you, I love input! Adriana
  3. Hi there everyone, have been gone for quite some time, and many tests later with obvious positive results, but have a biopsies coming up and was wondering who has had the endoscope and what it was like, I have had a colonoscopy and found that ok, but I have worse a problem with people numbing my throat I have panic attacks when i cant feel parts of me! thanks
  4. The Common Cold Prior To Diagnosis

It helps alot to hear what you guys went through and how it felt, sheds some light on my situation anyway even if its not due to celiac............just knowing it can get better. Very irritating to feel like your alot older than you are and its not going to change. Hopefully being gluten-free after some time will help heal some issues Ive been having!
  5. haha yeah i thought about baking for others and realized, hell Ill just inhale it all anyway right? i have a stainless steel collander so yeah should be good i usually scrub it and handwash then d/w anyway so prob safe there lol. wow i have alot to learn lol. by the time im done I may be 50 though lol
  6. The Common Cold Prior To Diagnosis

Oh My God! thats right also! I didnt even think of that but even when not pregnant also. I dry heaved my whole 9 with my daughter and in between this pregnancy I dropped weight (20) without trying tired, migraines ugh you name it. I didnt gain that much weight with her but luckily she is fine, Im 29 weeks though starting this, and the first 14 I was deathly sick, not just morning sickness every other few hours sickness and to date Ive only gained 2 but my son inside is fine thank goodness. I lost in the start of this one, luckily not too much but it hasnt been easy gaining either. At first the reply i got was, maybe your just not one to gain weight, and low and behold, they figured out what my rash Ive had off and on for 3 years was ( dh ) or what they thought it looked like at least, they cant biopsy my skin bc Im pregnant. So they did the blood for celiac which I pushed for once I heard of dh and looked that up realizing it was related to celiac disease! I did go through what many here have, many common misdiagnoses like ibs, fibro, miscarrige, name it Im infested with it. GLad I dont have to name off that list anymore all I got to say is celiac disease lol. Now my doctors wont look at me like a hypocondriac! Dee
  7. Yeah I figured out how to search with "keywords" here yesterday and found some people talking about the issue after I posted, of course ! I do plan on getting these things for myself, knives with reg handles since mine are wood and in a wood holder, a muffin pan, baking sheet and pan, cheap toaster and soon a breadmachine that will cook the bread in it to save some money and space. I already have so many baking supplies and love to bake for my family and friends so I will just have to be careful when baking for them. I did yesterday find a thread through my figuring how to learn this site, where they mentioned putting tin foil down to cook your food if cooking on a bake pan, so I did that for my pizza, I couldnt do that for cookies though. So my fustration was put aside when I ate the pizza and felt fine but I can say how fustrating this process Im sure has been for some. I give you guys credit. You never know what people go through until you try it yourself. I stil of course consider myself lucky could have been worse. My whole family is filled with auto immune disease unfortunatley so I just kinda made it into the club lol. So in conclusion thanks to you guys Im learning , and hopefully with time I wont have to be begging for answers, I know how to research but alot on the web doesnt specify which is fustrating, this site is practically a goldmine for people with celiac disease! all in due time right? Dee
  8. I can understand needing a toaster for myself, totally get that one. WHat about baking and cooking my food ina regular conventional oven as long as I use a clean pan or should I get pans just for my food? cooking eggs I would assume I can use a regular frying pan as long as its clean ......I went to make a gluten-free pizza (frozen) and cried bc I didnt know if I could put it in my oven. I know a little silly , I just want to eat something with substance or something that feels normal you know? Dee
  9. The Common Cold Prior To Diagnosis

whats also strange for is this morning for the first time in a extremely long time, I woke not to blowing nose , very odd for me. Usually blamed on electric heat....... like I said only on day 4 gluten free but a minor difference that is a relief. However from some reason unless its withdrawal, I had a diet coke and felt miserable about 20 minutes later starting to feel better now only 1 1/2 hours later unsure of that one but I have read that others may be sensitive to the coloring. Ill probably avoid this maybe try diet coke again in a few weeks and stick to sprite. Not a big soda fan anyway so itll be alright.
  10. The Common Cold Prior To Diagnosis

thankyou thats exactly what I was talking about! I feel a little better knowing that its possible I will be able to handle a sickness better, I assume wont be able to tell for sure until I get sick, but i already feel minor differences on this diet on day 4 so I think its a good sign.] Dee
  11. thankyou:) I appreciate it! Im sure there are people just as confused as I lol
  12. um I can eat white rice, it obviously has no ingredients other than white rice which is allowed.......I barely eat rice so dont know.............please dont make fun lol Dee
  13. I had a question that just kind of dropped in my head this morn out of nowhere. Im newly diagnosed and only on day 4 of this gluten free stuff, but I want to know if anyone before diagnosis and diet change had a cold or other viral thing that debilitated them or made them not able to function like a normal person couldor should with a cold. The reason I ask this is Im wondering If I were to get sick with a gluten free diet would I not be stuck in bed like usual with what feels as if Im dying. I guess what Im trying to say is, every time Ive gotten sick Ive needed help taking care of my child/house etc, I get slammed at the slightest cold! Since anyone has been on this diet for a bit and gotten a cold or say bronchitis is it easier to handle along with a norml routine of child caretaking and housecleaning . Not sure how else to describe or ask. Dee
  14. Raven I got you there, I did tell my mother, siblings to get tested and will be getting my daughter tested. Unfortunately, my mother I know will never go gluten free even if she was diagnosed, I have a feeling very strong that she does have celiac disease and my brother also. Alot of complaining about the things Ive felt, but my mother thinks of being diagnosed with a disease is a way to get pity, she already been diagnosed with other things and yet will not do what her doctors tell her, that is a hopeless situation so Im trying to just worry about myself but cant help worry about my family. My sister has ms and says she feels fine after she eats but doesnt realize you can feel "fine" or "without symptoms" even with celiac disease, and considering she already has ms another auto immune, I think its just being safe and wanting to be around longer to watch your family grow. My brother will get tested Im sure hes always feeling sick and debilitated missed work and so on. I try like heck to get them to care ...........sigh lol Dee
  15. the taco mix I used was in a box set , it was ummmm something eatin, wasnt mccormick unfortunately but I know better now. Already bought butter ect, a new toaster oven yeah lol I kinda figured it was impossible to do that. Cant wait to have my pebbles lol! The only thing I know that is going to be a real struggle is family, the ones who dont live with me but visit thier house often, they are going to look at me ridiculously and be critics of my careful cleaniness, for some reason they think a positive blood test proves nothing and I dont need to be on this diet though my doctors say otherwise. I think perhaps they dont realize the extent of the situation and that bothers me......I dont want to sound rude but how do I educate know it alls and pessimists? lol
