  1. Just wondered if there was a specific symptom that most celiacs get if they accidentally eat gluton. Only been diagnosed 2 months feel bad occasionally but hard to determine if it is because I have eaten gluten or am I just not feeling so great.....??
  2. Hi cant seem to find a Uk forum for celiacs and this one is so good I wondered if there was anyone from the South UK who would like to chat?
  3. Hep B Vaccine & Celiacs

Thank you for the information. I have just been diagnosed with celiacs and have been working for 2 years at a special needs school,,I have been thinking of getting the vaccine but the doctor in the uk would charge me
  4. Hi I had my endoscopy 3 weeks ago and my friend had hers two weeks before. We were given the choice of sedation or a spray to numb your throat, we both chose the mild sedation. The nurse told me some people don't remember a thing and others little bits. I remembered very little in a surreal way but definately didnt traumatise me, hurt me or scare me and I was scared before. I would be happy to go through it again as long as I was sedated. Had the procedure at 1115am and walked out at 1230 (lunch time) met my husband and ate lunch. No sore throat felt tired by the end of day. Dont worry. xxxxxx
  5. Thank you all so much you have made me feel alot better already,. I live in England and didnt know anyone with celiacs so this forum is a gold mine. speak to you all soon take care xxx PS hope you all see this as i am a bit computer illiterate
  6. Hi just joined the forum as I have had a biopsy that indicates celiacs and am awaiting blood test result to confirm. It has taken me nearly 2 years to convince my doctor that constant anaemia pain in side and sickness needed looking into. I recently spoke to someone whose friend has celiac (big mistake maybe) and she has told me about how if you dont remain totally gluten free the particals of protein attach themselves to other organs and then healthy organs come under attack. My fear is that as it has taken so long to get this far could I have more damage than a mild corrosion of my small intestine (small area)? I hope Im not scareing anyone else out there but I dont want to discuss this information with parents or husband and make them feel bad and sorry for me. can any one offer any advise thanks wolfeex
