  1. Thank you for replying to me. I have been up all night trying to figure out my next move. I guess I need to go out and buy some new pans.
  2. I was just told last night that vanilla is not gluten free unless a person buys gluten free vanilla.. is this true? I was also told to get rid of old pots and pans I used prior to going to gluten-free.. why? Please help me understand.. Also was told that chocolate is NOT gluten free and I have been giving my daugter M & M's.. I am going to take myself and daughter on an Elimination Diet. Has anyone done that?
  3. Anyone From Missouri?

I live in a small town in Missouri.. it takes at least 45 mins to go the movie theater better yet almost 2 hours to go to a speciality store.. anyone else feel like everything takes forever to get too? Its so hard!
  4. Thanks, hope you feel better as well! Do you, or anyone, think that our bodies have been fighting something that was bad for us and now that we are not eating bad foods, the body gets confused? I don't know, just thinking what in the world, I am a person who hardly ever gets sick.. I get tired and run down and aching body, hardly ever sick.. YIKES... Lately I just can't get well!
  5. Since going gluten free, my stomach and IBS symptoms are better.....yet I have been so sick. I have been gluten free for 6 weeks now and I had intestional flu one week, two weeks later mouth ulcers and strep throat so bad I had to go to the hospital and missed a week of work. Now, I am sick again.. I have not had energy, I have felt so sick.. I don't understand it..
  6. I have not shopped at a TraderJoes, I live in MIssouri and the closest one to me is a few hours away; does anyone shop there? What are there prices???? Just last night I went to a health food store and mac and cheese was 3.19 a box and ceral was 9.99 a bag.. I don't know what I am going to do.. Is Trader Joes worth my time to travel, or should I stick to ordering off the internet or Health Food stores!
  7. My Diet

Use one of your free days and pre-cook your meals and put them in containters that way you can grab it and go..
  8. I made burgers last night and I rememberd a time when I went to Applebees and ate a Quesdailla Burger and LOVED IT, and I had some corn tortillas so I made my own.. I fixed my burger, added tomatoes, onions and garlic and clintra mix on top (my verison of Pico De gallo) and put cheese on top then put them on my corn tortilla and grilled them. They were soooooo good that I thought I would share it! Lena
  9. Help

  10. I am totally new to all this.. Is Hunts canned stewed tomatoes gluten-free? If anyone can help me.........thanks! Lena
  11. I called and ask for my daughters test results today. The doctor is going to be out of the office for a few weeks, yikes but the nurse loves me and gave me the results. My daughters 2nd biopsy said it was conclusive for Celiac Spur! I hve tons of questions? Does Ketchup have Gluten? Mustard? Cheese? Ceral? Help me get started this week.. Thanks, Lena
  12. Interesting about the B12. Mine was 266 and was based on a range of 236 to 1030? I am starting to feel better though!
  13. I hate the unknown and I like this group because I can find others who understands and can relate to me! Thanks for your reply. Lena
  14. I previously made a post about my daughter being tested, the waiting is killing me. I have spent a lot of money going to doctors for years because of my many symptoms and I am at the point where I am tired of going. I know I should get tested for Celiac but I don't want to, I thought well if I go on the diet and I feel better why get tested and pay thousands of dollars for them to tell me to go on a diet? I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago and the surgeon messed up and I almost died. He punctured my bowels three different places and recovering from that was stressful. I am 33 years old now and feel like I am 60ish at times. The doctor thinks I have IBS, but I don't agree with him. My BM's are different each time, I can function at work without having to go to the restroom ( I have a fear of having BM's in public). I can have 4 BM's in a day and then feel constipated afterwards. My stomach feels great in the morning, but after I eat I get bloated. I stay that way all day! I drink water, and limit soda to 1 or 2 a week. I don't salt my foods! At night after I have a BM I am in pain the rest of the night. I get zero relief! My bones hurt my feet throb! OHHH my feet hurt so bad and I don't work on my feet much! I want to exercise and I try, but my energy is gone. I use it all up to clean and cook and take care of my kids. When I do exerice I am more tired than when I begain. I don't get, should'nt I have more energy? 2 years ago I started breaking out in hives. My skin gets red and now it has progressed to my face; mainly around my nose and lips and forhead. I went to a RA doctor because my SED rate was 46 and he tested me for RA but it was negative-thank you Jesus! then he thought I may have lupus.. He said, "well you have something but it is laying dormat and we can't find it" that is not help to me when I don't feel good! My B-12 blood test was within normal range My WBC was a little high but not majorly high Whatever a neutreophil is, both results were a bit high but not by much... I don't know. I am on day four of gluten free and I have not noticed a change yet, too soon maby? Here are my main symptoms and you all help me understand please: hives IBS symptoms joint aches and pains, but I can still function and get through it back pain at times when I bend over I will get really sharps pains sometimes taking my breath away I love my teeth, I take care of them, but I have horrible TOOTH DECAY I hate it feet numb and tingling all day and restless legs at night! HORRIBLE I have skin discoloration on my neck and the doctor thougth I had a thyroid problem or diabeties, but both test were negative! So, what do ya'll think? Thanks, Lena
  15. Thank you so much for your reply! Her Tga I think thats what is was, was 1.20 on a scale of 1>2 being a weak positive. I might have jumped-the-gun and started our new diet without getting her second biopsy result in but I did'nt care. As her mom I was feeling horrible, I mean what if I am feeding her foods that are killing her? I can't do it.. So until I know for sure, we are going gluten free.... It can't hurt us, right? ohhhh I hate wating for results to come in... Thanks, Lena
