  1. I just ate something I realized had gluten after I had already eaten it. This was about 45 minutes ago, and I'm wondering if I should make myself throw it up. Other than that (if that), what should I do to reduce the symptoms that will occur?
  2. I recently got a job at Lifetime Fitness, so I get a discount at the LifeCafe. Does anyone know what's gluten free here? I couldn't found out online and haven't had a chance to ask them in person.
  3. I went to the Dermitologist today and he prescribed me Solodyn medication and Epiduo cream. Are these products gluten free? I tried googling it but couldn't find much info on it. Thanks.
  4. I looked at Trader Joe's website and they claimed that Pure Protein Shakes were gluten free, so I bought a twelve pack of the vanilla flavor. However, when I checked the ingredients I found caramel coloring. I've heard caramel coloring can be unsafe, but I'm always find after drinking any soda. Is the coloring in this shake unsafe? It kinda made my stomach feel weird, but I'm not sure if it's just in my head.
  5. I just took some probiotics and I'm having some pretty bad cramping. I mean, it's definitely tolerable, I'm just wondering if it's normal. Should I just deal with it? Or should I stop taking it?
  6. Last Saturday I had some tater tots from Sonic (claimed to be gluten free and have it's own designated frier), and they obviously hurt my stomach. This bummed me out because I had been trying so hard on my diet, and I didn't even really want those tots... And it made me think all my gluten-free progress had been lost. Is this true? Does having just a little gluten mean you have to start back from day one if you're on, for example, day 10? (just got diagnosed). And what kinda ways can I speed up my progress?
  7. Thanks for the reply. I coincidentally received my results today and was diagnosed with celiac. I am still eating dairy at the moment because that's just about the only gluten free food in my house. I might go dairy free after talking to a nutritionist though.
  8. I just had my upper endoscopy sergury to test for Celiac Disease 4 days ago. Sense then, I have gone on a gluten-free diet because the doctor said it was "pretty likely" I had Celiac. But I feel like the diet is making me crazy. I have sudden drastic mood swings where one moment I'll be crying, then I'll be laughing, and the next I'll be wishing I could punch a whole in something. Not only that, but I'm always hungry now. Even after a huge meal. This is why I want to hurry up and get my results. The chance that I might actually not have celiac frustrates me because this diet could be for nothing. How long will it be until I get my results? My symptoms are mouth ulcers (several at once. 6 at one point), stomach pain, bloating, a rare occasion of really bad GERD, depression at times, and often fatigued- how likely do you think it is that I have celiac? And one more question, how long after you eat something with gluten does it take to experience celiac symptoms? I still get bloating occasionally, so I wonder which foods it is that's doing it.
