  1. Bearer Of Bad News

If you find yourself in Plano, Texas -- there is a restaurant now where EVERYTHING is gluten free. And they have all the things you normally can't have like chicken fried steak, fried shrimp, chicken nuggets, chocolate cake, fish and chips!!! you can view the menu at www.delicious-n-fit.com and get directions if needed So no more worries about being "glutened" here.
  2. Celiac Savvy College Cafeterias?

Most colleges outsource their cafeterias. Aramark is a large company that provide cafeteria service for many colleges. So it' wouldn't be the college specifically that needed to know anything. You could contact Aramark and see what their level of knowledge is and what colleges they provide for. Of course, each cafeteria would be responsive to pressure from the college but they also answer to the corporate levels.
  3. Don't believe everything you hear. Delicious-N-Fit is new, only 1 year in gluten free, and got it's tail kicked by low carb for the 1st year. However, it is not ready to close up. Look for an ad in Living Without this November for Laura Girl's Cookies. That is the brand name for 5 flavors of cookies that Delicious-N-Fit will be marketing and shipping out to other stores. Roy's Natural Market in Dallas carries Fruit Dansh that are Gluten Free and Dairy Free, they also have 4 flavors of cookies all under the name of Mrs. Strain's Bakery. That is a line from Delcious-N-Fit. Unlike the low carb stores that have closed up in the last year Delicious-N-Fit is working on creating a market outside of the store and looking to expand it product offerings all geared towards the gluten free market and comfort foods.
  4. For those in Texas and the Dallas Ft. Worth Area you can get a gluten free cake from Delicious-N-Fit in Plano, Texas. The store bakes the cakes in a gluten free environement and then contracts out the decorating to a pastry chef who comes in to make it beautiful www.delicious-n-fit.com You can also get just about anything else you've been missing too!
