  1. Thank you so much for your reply. I am just so stumped. I have not had a diagnosis, just the possibility based on MILD lymphocytosis of my colon. No sign of Celiac, everything else looked normal. I have an appt. in two weeks. My blood work had high gliadin IgA and IgG, but nothing else was positive, so the GI said he did not think it was celiac, but...
  2. THANK YOU!
  3. I posted it about an hour ago. SHould I just wait a little longer for it to post. Thanks for everything.
  4. Well I have a follow up appt with my doctor in 2 weeks. Based on a biopsy apparently taken from my colon, there is lymphocytosis and that probably means I have lymphocytic Colitis, I guess. Anyone have any experience with this? It says it mainly causes diarhea, but before the last 2 months I have struggled with constipation. I am so confused.
  5. Thank you. Seems to me it would be related to an autoimmune disease, no?
  6. I just had mine done last Tuesday. She did it immediately after she gave me the sedation meds, so I was asleep, but woke up during the colonoscopy. Still wasn't bad though, the drugs "soften" everything. I told her I was afraid of gagging. She sprayed my throat with numbing stuff, that helped. They will probably give you that too. Good luck!
  7. Hmmmmm, in researching more, it appears that it can have something to do with a gluten sensitivity(sp?) or celiac, but I have a hard time understanding what I am reading.
  8. The doctor is going to call me. But they said there was lymphocytosis. Which from what I read means there are a lot of white blood cells, and that means it was/is an infection. But it also means that the infection has been there for over 2 months. Isn't that a little long? And I did still have elevated gliadin(sp?) antibodies in my blood tests. ...
  9. I am still waiting for my biopsy results, but the reason I was tested was because I had D for 1 and 1/2 months. Before that I had chronic constipation. Now I have gone back to C after the month and a 1/2 of D. Anyone else have this with Celiac? (Of course, diagnosed with IBS)
  10. I had mine done today. Thank god it is over. I was so worried about gagging. They sprayed the stuff in my throat, and I was pretty much out of it for that. The colonoscopy, though, I was awake for most of it. I watched it on the screen. It was a tad uncomfortable, but I was relieved at how smoothly it went. I did not want to be awake at all, but I...
  11. Thank Goodness! I am done. I did it. I still shudder just thinking about it. Anyways, just wanted to thank you for helping me through it!
  12. Thank you so much for all of your continuing support on this board. It is so nice to have people who understand!
  13. Yeah, that is what I thought about the drinking 8 hours before. Maybe if I have any tomorrow it will just be a little. To be on the safe side. I am going to start with the sierra mist instead of coke. THANK YOU for the support. Did they put you all the way out? I am wondering if I will be sedated or all the way out.
  14. Actually they said I can drink clear liquids up until 2 hours before the procedures. Hopefully it will be okay. I am just taking a sip of coke after I drink like 5 gulps of the horrible stuff. Really?!?!?! They told me clear liquids up to 6:45 am. Test is at 8:45. Also, I asked specifically if I could have coke, they said yes, just no red stuff. ...
  15. Thanks! I really can't believe what a baby I am being. I have started chasing it with coke. Think that's okay?
  16. Oh, I really thought it would not be that bad. I am trying to be brave, but ick! I can't mix with anything else can I?
  17. It says IC PEG 3350/Electrolyte SOLN KRE. They give you a little pack of flavoring, but is not so much helping! Ugh!
  18. I have my colonoscopy and biopsy tomorrow, therefore I am drinking the jug of stuff to clean me out. It is horrible. Any suggestions? I don't know if I can get it down. It tastes like ocean water! Please help!
  19. Yeah, might as well. I had a small bought(sp?) w/ a lot of blood in my stool, so it is worth it to me and Crohns runs in the family. It is just very worth it to me.
  20. Yeah I understand, I am willing to risk it for a positive. In addition, I am getting a colonoscopy to check for all other possible causes of my problems. If I find out it is "IBS" (they don't know what it is) I will try everything I can to help myself (including a gluten free diet). But I must rule out anything and everything else I can. Again, for my...
  21. My answer to this question is: I came back with positive blood work, but I was positive on the very unspecific markers. The doctor I am seeing does not believe I have it. I must have a confirmed diagnosis for my peace of mind. I have gone years and years with these symptoms and have gotten used to people and doctors telling me that nothing it wrong. ...
  22. Oh, I do get the idea, that if Celiac disease is causing your "IBS" that not eating gluten would help. I have come to start believing IBS is not a diagnosis, but a symptom of something else. So if my biopsy comes back negative I may still try a gluten free diet, but couldn't something else be causing the symptoms if I do not have a gluten sensitivity?
  23. THANK YOU! I am not too worried and I really am glad that they are doing them together. So much preparation to do, so it is nice to just get them both out of the way. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and I believe I woke up in the middle of it. I guess that is why it freaks me out. However waking up to them ripping your teeth out I guess would be a little...
  24. No, I am not saying that at all. I just have never heard that it makes them worse or that not eating them makes the symptoms better. In fact I have never heard that there is any effect on it. I was just curious. I am by no means saying that is wrong.
  25. Yeah, I could not believe that you have to go over 24 hours before the procedure without eating. My appt. just got changed to the morning, but it was the afternoon at like 1 or 2. I already have plans to order pizza that evening! 24 hours is a long time not to eat. Everybody is like, oh, no big deal. You'll be fine. Not to mention what I must drink...
