    I have never heard that IBS reacts badly to anything containing gluten. Where did you research that?

    I am having a colonoscopy and endoscopy at the same time next tuesday. Just curious if anyone else has had this done? I am very glad they are taking care of both of them at the same time. I am assuming I will be completely knocked out. Hope so... Stories to share?

    Hi Lilla. I got blood work done and it came back with two positive markers, so I was sure I had it and I was relieved to find the answer. Then I saw the GI and she told me the markers that came back positive were very insignificant, so I was very disappointed as well. He scheduled me for a biopsy and a colonoscopy. I want a formal dx for my own knowledge...

    THANK YOU for taking the time to go over these with me. My biopsy is August 22nd. I just so wanted it to be Celiac so I could have an answer to my problems and a way to feel better.     Thank you for all of your responses. It is just so confusing. So if they find out I don't have it does that mean something else is wrong? Or it just gets dropped?     Ugh! It was not that I wanted to have a disease, but I wanted to have the ability to control my symptoms instead of it being IBS. I went to see the GI doctor, he was a very nice man and listened intently to me. He went over the blood tests that my primary doctor did. He said they did a panel of 4, I think. He said, yes two did come back positive...

    How frustrating! Why can they never tell you what the results mean! I came back with 2 positive markers for Celiac. But still had no idea if that meant I had it or not. It seems that no one wants to commit to telling you what is wrong. I would call the doctor and ask directly, what does this mean!

    Thank you, all of you! I just can't wait to get a grip on all of this. I have an appt. with the GI on Wednesday and I am hoping I can get my bearings(sp?).

    I had positive blood tests and am getting a biospy soon. In the meantime, I keep going through this cycle of feeling fine and having energy, etc. then suddenly I feel ill. Like I have the flu and everything feels crappy. Anyone else have these back and forth episodes? And, for some reason, my jaw is killing me. Maybe stress from worrying about all this...

    My emotions are all over the place! Because I have had diarrhea for almost 2 months after having constipation for years the doctor did blood tests for Celiac and I was told I have "two positive markers" and need to get a biopsy, so I have a consult a week from today. I feel like crap and I don't know if it is all in my head. I have struggled with depression...

    My mom just had something similar and she said she remembers gagging a little but that is it. I just have such a phobia about gagging, I HATE IT!!! I am just going to tell them how freaked out I am and hope they make me as comfortable as possible.
