  1. Hi- I was reading about some gluten free issues online today & came across something new: refractory sprue on gluten free diet- can anyone explain to me what the doctors mean exactly when they say this?
  2. Thanks- I do believe that my dr. ordered it from Prometheus Labs. I was planning on doing enterolab, but didn't know much about their genetic testing. Sounds pretty thorough. I want to avoid endoscopy-
  3. Ok- got a stupid question- if the celiac gene test comes back negative, does that mean that someone will never get actual celiac dz? can that person still have an intolerance? Also, does anyone know if you have no predisposition to celiac via genetics, can you still have villi damage? Thanks- I am so very very confused!

  5. I also gained weight since becoming gluten-free. I have managed to now lose some of it. One thing htat helped me was I was having a lot of reflux.   8. Hello- Does anyone know if someone on a gluten-free diet can consume Modified Food Starch? Also, what comprises this substance? I have avoided it since becoming gluten-free, but noticed it was in a lot of low fat foods. Don't want to keep gaining weight-
  9. Hello! I am new to this site & I have been going to and from different dr.s trying to figure this whole thing out. I had my Gallbladder removed in Jan 1999.
