  1. I don't know about Dorito's (I can't have them because of the cheese and ranch in them), but I know that Plain and BBQ ruffels are safe. I eat the plain ones all the time, and they don't bother me. What about Applesauce from a jar? Anything in there to make a person sick either dairy- or gluten-wise?
  2. I think things are coming around, with mom at least. She did finally look at this site and she seems more willing to understand a bit of what I am going through. I explained that I was unhappy when dad rolled his eyes at me when I asked about the steak. She said that she knows, so I hope that's a good sign of things to come.
  3. Mario> what do you guys drink?? I drink water (plain and flavoured), Sprite (regular and remix), Fresca, Pepsi (caffiene free for me), and hope to try coffee this week. I miss my coffee. I also have soymilk (dairy allergy). what cheeses do you guys eat??? I gave up cheese...I tried a dairy free cheese and it sucked! what yogurts do you...
  4. Mario> What rice cakes did you have problems with? Peanut Butter> Talk about someone who's addicted to the stuff, lol *points to self* Since I hvae to give up Reese's (milk in the chocolate .), I just use the Skippy Honey Nut. It's yummy, it's safe, and I"m the only one in the house who uses that flavour! Question at large> Today...
  5. Which Quacker rice cakes did you have problems with? I use the plain, salt free for sandwhiches and then eat the carmel corn ones for snacks, as well as a honey nut from a different brand I got in Omaha. Just hoping that the caramel onees aren't bad, since they haven't bothered me. -Kel
  6. MLO> Glad that you got your results back and can begin treatment! Scopes> I have a question about those: I had a colonoscopy, CT scan of my belly, and a scope and all were normal. The CT picked up an ovarian cyst, but the colonoscopy was normal the bipopsies from there were normal, and the endo and those biopsies were normal. An irritated spot...
  7. gillian502> I think they are coming around a little bit. Dad actually checked a can of beans last night before he made chili, so that's a good first step. I am still going to make mom and dad read things, though, so they get my point. I forget who asked how old I was, but I forgot to answer you . I am 25, and due to financial problems had to move...
  8. I never thought about either of those options and I will look into them!! I did bring home a packet from the dietation, but mom tucked it away and never looked at it. I will be sure to print off some information for them and might just have to sit there while she reads it!!!! Thank you fo the suggestions! I refuse to eat things that are bad for me,...
  9. I am wondering about people still living with their parents and who need to be gluten-free (and in my case also dairy free). Mom and dad seem to think that little amounts of things (flour in pudding, crackers in meatloaf) are fine. I cannot seem to convince them otherwise. My mom even said she lets stuff like this go in one ear and out the other. I...
  10. I see Pepsi on that list...does this mean that I can have my Pepsi after all? I have to have the caffiene free version, but still. I've been rather addicted to Pepsi over the years. I'd love to start drinking it again!!!
  11. Hi all. I would like to introduce myself. I am new to this gluten stuff, as well as dairy allergy stuff. I was diagonised in January. Previous to that, I was on Paxil CR, and all at once, in about September, I'd get a nauseating pain in my upper stomach (below the breast line), then it went from pain to pain with dihereea, and then pain with dihreea...
