hi everyone- i know that this topic has been beat to death on this site, but i am getting more and more confused with my symptoms. i was wondering: 1.) if someone is gluten intolerant, will they have a reaction everytime they eat gluten? 2.) once beginning a gluten free diet, how long(typically) does it take before you see results if you are in fact gluten...

thanks everyone for your responses! interesting- the reason why i asked is because i ate quaker rice cakes for lunch yesterday and i was so itchy aftwerwards. i thought it was all in my head b/c it did not list gluten containing products in the list of ingredients. how do you know if something is contaminated? just trial and error?

hi everyone- i am new to the gluten free diet and was wondering if rice cakes are gluten free. i was concerned b/c the ingredients said "whole grain" brown rice and salt. does that mean there could be gluten?
