  1. Wow! I'm going through the exact same thing. I've been gluten-free for 2 months and am having a biopsy next Tuesday. I mentioned that it will probably be negative because of the diet and the GI doc wasn't concerned at all. He says he thinks it'll show other food intolerances. I haven't heard that before, have you? Because the gluten-free diet didn't...
  2. okay, i've been gluten-free for 8 weeks and my GI doc wants to do endoscopy. He says it will indicate other reasons for my problems if it isn't celiac disease. My blood test was positive for celiac. I really don't get it. What else will the biopsy possibly show? He says intolerance for other foods besides gluten. Does this ring true? Thanks, warpspeed...

I don't eat soy, dairy, alcohol, peanuts or basically anything but chick, fish, beef and veggies. Rice too. I have diarrhea everytime I eat and usually get up 3 or 4 times in the night. Not really...

    ARCHIVED Do You Recommend Biopsy?

Hi All. This is my first time on message board. My mother tested positive (she's 75) for celiac disease with a blood test. She's been on gluten-free diet for 2 months with no improvement. What do you think she should do? She's allergic to soy and lactose intolerant also. Thanks for being there.
  7. I've never been on a message board at all and am writing this to be sure this is how you post something.
