  1. Wow, thank you for all the replies. I am very health conscious, so I want to be sure I'm not harming myself in any way. I have noticed though, that since going gluten free that my face has been breaking out pretty badly. Anyone else have this problem? I'm sure it's just the change in diet and hopefully once my body gets used to it, it will go away.
  2. Hi guys, I'm new to this whole gluten free thing, but I happened to throw something together for my step son recently that he absolutely loved. I had some boneless skinless chicken breasts in my freezer, and had nothing else to put on them but two cans of Contadina pizza sauce. I read the ingredients, it was gluten free, so I dumped it on there and let...
  3. Well, one of the reasons I ask is because I have read so many conflicting things about going gluten free when you don't have celiac. I've read that it can be harmful to your body, but then I've read that about 99% of people should eat gluten free. I think I am going to continue with the diet and see if there are any other improvements. Anyway, thanks for...
  4. When my step son was diagnosed with Celiac, my husband and I decided that we were going to try the gluten free diet to see what effect it had on us, so we tried last week. My husband was unable to stick with it for one day, but I ate gluten free for about 4 days. Over the weekend we went out to eat and I ate a very small amount of gluten on Sat. night,...
  5. I saw something on this forum about tinkyada pasta? I am wondering what that is and where I can find it, because we haven't found pasta that my step son will eat. We tried corn pasta that we can buy in bulk at our local health food store and it was disgusting. He loves mac and cheese and is the one thing he has had a hard time being without, but we just...
  6. Hello, My 4 year old step son was just diagnosed last week with Celiac. Since going gluten free he has been pretty sick. He had diarrhea for several days, and was throwing up, and had fevers. He's very lethargic and wanting to sleep a lot and he isn't eating much. The doc said it's normal for him to have some problems..........I'd like to know just...
  7. Hi, I am new to this site. My step son (4 1/2) was just diagnosed this week with celiac, and I have so many questions. I've posted in other topics some of my other questions, but this seems like a good place for this one..... Our plan is for all of us to eat gluten free. I've read here and there that gluten really isn't good for anyone and I've also...
  8. Wow, thank you guys for being so helpful! The resources on Nini's website are awesome, I couldn't ask for a better starting point. My step son spends so much time with other members of his family, and they will probably all need to have as much information as possible. You've all been so helpful, thank you so much.
  9. We just found out earlier this week that my step son has Celiac Disease. We are FULL of questions and I'm hoping that some of you more experienced out there will be able to help us. We are still learning, but is there anywhere online we can go to find a list of brand name products that are gluten free. I don't necessarily mean the products you can find...
