  1. Happy birthday!

  2. Hello! It's been almost a year since I last posted here. I needed a little break. Anyway in the last year I have started seeing an acupuncturist who specializes in fertility. She has changed my cycle so much for the better - it's truly amazing. I am now on my second cycle with her, taking TCM herbs and feeling so much better. With these treatments I...
  3. Thanks for sharing that - I really don't see how it can't be part of the reason we're not conceiving. My husband shows no signs of having celiac or any kind of food intolerances (lucky) But I think that he's going to try a gluten-free diet for a while and see how it goes. I appreciate your good wishes, it is very frustrating - especially since we can't pin...
  4. I'm not sure if this topic has come up here - if it has please direct me to that thread - but has anyone read or heard of any findings on if sperm from a man that eats gluten can effect the fertility of a woman with celiac? We have been TTC for 3 years - I have had ALL the tests and so has he. The cause of the our infertility is basically unknown and it...
  5. Hi everyone, it's been a while but I wanted to give an update in case there is anyone else in my shoes who might be looking for help. 3 weeks ago I had the lap and the doc found stage 2 endometriosos. He told me that my infertility was most likely caused by this and I believe him, since all else was normal. He removed it and we are now looking at something...
  6. Hi again, here's another update, although there's not much to update... It's been almost 3 months since the dye test. I am having pain on my right side every other month so I'm sort of thinking that there's something going on in my right ovary. I am scheduled to see the doc at the end of May. I know he is going to suggest the Lap surgery
  7. Cruel joke is a good description for it. I got my period 10 days late. I do chart and this month seemed right on time but I also occasionally, about every 4 months, have a longer cycle. So I guess we'll just assume everything is still normal and see what happens this month. This has definitely been an on going lesson in patience. If I ever do have a baby...
  8. Hi, I just wanted give you all an update. I had the Dye Test last month and then about a week ago my doc put me on Amoxicillin because I was having a lot of back pain and cramping (he thought I might have an infection form the test). Now I am 8 days late. I took an EPT 2 days before my period was due and it was negative. I am a little hesitant to take another...

  11. Hi! Its funny, this month I cut way back on dairy because I have had issues with it in the past. I have noticed a difference in my sinuses and I am having less PMS symptoms this month. Thanks for the advice, I think that you're on to something.
  12. I have had the progesterone tests and all is normal there. My Doc is convinced that I can carry a baby, I just need to get that darn egg down the tube I think that I am lucky in that my body seems to be functioning normally. I have regular periods and all my hormone levels are normal. I feel lucky because I don't have to go on any drugs to regulate...
  13. Hi there! my husband an I are now both on vitamin supplements but since both my blood work and his sperm analysis came back normal, the doc didn't really commend anything specific. I think he's more focused on finding a blockage. Some reason that the eggs aren't making it down the tubes, thus the HSG yesterday. If nothing happens in the next 3 months he'll...
  14. Thank you, thank you, thank all three of you for being a source of support. I will make sure to post an update when there's something to update. I really believe that having people out there thinking good thoughts for perfect strangers is a powerful force and I really feel that you have made a difference for me in this sometimes very difficult journey. So...
  15. I had the HSG this morning and was quite nervous. The x-ray staff and my Doc were all really great. The numbing shots he gave me made me feel so light-headed they had to invert me on the table and the dye caused some really painful cramping but it was tolerable and thankfully, over very quickly. The test results were 'normal'. The dye spilled out through...
  16. I have heard that is has 'blow out' quality too. Thank you for telling your story. I hope that we will be blessed with a child soon but really we're already blessed and child would just make it all that much better. Take care, Klay
  17. Yes, I'm scheduled for the HSG tomorrow morning. Thanks you so much for sharing your story
  18. Jenny here's a link to a great gluten-free carrot cake recipe. I go to this site quite a lot ofr great gluten-free recipes and I am never disappointed. Happy Baking! Open Original Shared Link
  19. Thank you Deb for sharing your experience. I'll do what I can to manage the pain and hopefully the test will benefit me in some way. Thanks again, Klay
  20. Hi, I know that this isn't really a celiac disease or gluten-free issue but since you all have been such a great source of support I was wondering if anyone out there has had the hysterosalpingography 'Dye test', if you could share your experience and if it ended up helping you get pregnant. Perhaps this question doesn't belong here but I thought I'd try...
  21. We (husband and I) got our test results back and all is normal and good. So it appears that celiac disease is not really effecting my fertility at this point. Since I've been off gluten for so long I really didn't think it was an issue but you never know. The next step will be a pelvic x-ray 'Dye' test and then the Lap surgery if needed. I thank you for taking...

  23. I am 35 and we've been trying for 2 years. We've just completed the first set of blood test and have started seeing a specialist. My tests came back 'normal' whatever that means
  24. I'm almost in the same boat as you. I've been TTC for 2 years and have been gluten-free for 10. We haven't really started any fertility 'treatments' yet. We are in the process of getting tested. If I find anything out that might help I'll let you know. I know how it feels to be looking for for answers
  25. That's what I thought too and my fertility issues may have nothing to do with the fact that I have celiac disease. I didn't even really consider it a factor until recently when I started having more serious PMS and thought maybe that was attributed to lack of certain types of vitamins. It will most likely be something else, you just never know with celiac...
