  1. Richard, It takes a real man to drive a mini van. I know that advice may not help, but it sounds good. Now if you want to get artistic, you could get very creative with the van. A few ideas might be: Get a personalized license plate that says. MAN-VAN-GRR or...... Paint it psychodelic colors and paint, THE LOVE VAN on the sides. You...
  2. Ok, I'll think about it......................... I'm up to it Jestgar! I don't see the requirement would be all that difficult! Whew, I was sweatin bullets thinkin I might be sent on my merry way after that little lymeric of mine. Excuse me nicki, pardon me Jestgar, may I squeeze by ya to find my seat? oops, I think I just passed the requirment... ....
  3. u hooo it's just me, one of the newbies, probably not at all sure of what she is doing. I was looking over the SillyYak posts, and Dingogirl told me to take a look at it. The jingles were a hoot. How about some poetry? If you don't mind I would like to post a poem that I wrote several years ago. I am terrified of spiders, actually even the mention of them...
  4. For those of us that are not directly related to this disease, but may have family or friends, let me say that there is nothing like a little laughter in times of need. I am a firm believer that laughter is sometimes the best medicine. This in no way takes away from the seroiusness of this disease that so many here have. With knowing a friend that is gluten...
  5. From what I could see earlier it looked as though there was some problems with something not acceptable being posted like spam, adult sites or something like that. I know when I have gone there before to look there would always be one or two there. Maybe they got tired of it, so they just closed it.
  6. Well I'm confooozed, let's see, then came Srokie, Srokie not, Srokie welcome, Srokie gone like a big bird. For what it is worth, I'm sticking around, as long as you want me here. Sorry it all took a turn for the worse. Enuff said from me on that subject. Ok, now to Johnny Rivers. Summer Rain happens to be my favorite song of his. That was in 1968. Other...
  7. I'm sure glad to see this thread. You guys were starting to scare me, since I am new here too. lol Some of us want to learn more about this disease. I can see where people could troll in, to cause trouble, but I gotta say, Srokie you are very generous that you are willing to let the questionable thoughts of members and be forgiving in that manner. That's...
  8. Slow news days, probably detail filled up the the local newspaper. Poor woman, but I agree, that was way too much information! My mom had a cousin that was blown up in an outhouse, back (I'm guessing here) the 1930's-early 1940's should catch it. She had gone out to use the outhouse, and unfortunately not realizing that methane gas and lit cigarettes...
  9. There is so much on this site. I find it overwhelming. How is one diagnosed with this disease, is it done with lab work only? If so what part of the lab test will show that Celiac disease is the culprit? I am sure there is somewhere on here to find that answer, but again, so much to look through with so many topics. Someone I know has been experiencing this...
  10. Excuse the double post. When I tried to reply it said I couldn't reply, so I tried again, and oops.....then there were two. It might take me awhile to get used to posting, so meanwhile bear with me, please. From what I have read so far, it seems that there are a lot of very caring and understanding people here, and you have a lot of fun thrown into it all...
  11. Thank you to both, dlp and mother goose for the replies, and for the welcome. I am looking forward to getting acquainted with everyone. Jackie

  13. Actually I accidentally came upon this sight while looking up websites on Johnny Rivers. When I clicked on google search for him, just a few sites down was this the mention of gluten free web site and his name within that post. I found that rather unusual so I clicked on it. I clicked on it, to see where someone named, Dingogirl made a post about him. ...
