    When Justin's "under attack" as I call it, meaning, has been exposed to gluten, I assume - or so his bowel movements seem to evidence - it seems that he refuses to eat - Before I knew he had celiac disease, he always seemed starving - when he was 100% breastfeed, he nursed 24X7 - but now, he goes back and forth - I realize this is partly normal for any kid...

    I picked up a ChiChi's brand mix for Fiesta Sweet Corn Cake - The only ingredients in question are baking soda and baking powder. I emailed them, but haven't heard back. Unless someone else knows, I'll call Tuesday and let ya'll know.

    some maltodextrine *is* bad, you have to check with the manufactorer to see if it is derived from wheat or corn - unless they have already voluntarilly adhered to the new legislation for labeling and put the source in parenthesis

    I looked for Envirokidz bars at Giant today, but couldn't find them - they did have the Envirokidz cereals though, I grabbed a few - school starts Tuesday, I'll send him with little baggies of cereal as a snack! krs10

    oh my gosh, sweetie - i'm no expert - but can you get a second opinion - how old is your son now? how long was he gluten free? and, did it help him (ie did he gain weight? did he have symptoms while being gluten free?)

    My two yr old, justin, has been sleeping through the night since shortly after going gluten free 6 months ago - prior to that, he hadn't slept through the night, not ONCE!

    Justin [my 2 yr old w/ celiac disease] always sees other kids with their snack bars and granola bars and candy bars - although he seems to be learning and has started asking before trying things, he still gets disappointed often - so far, what we've tried from the health store, never tickled his fancy, and the rice cakes and crackers are getting old - today...

    that test is precisely as it should be - the ttg is what was left off of our test, that is more telling, and since justin has since gone gluten-free, the tests will no longer be active - thats the first thing i looked at when you said to take a look - also, your doctor didnt bother with the ttg, which again, tells me that he/she is knowledgable, as the ttg...

    i've been told at support group meetings that every celiac is different - but i have yet to hear of another child being like my 2 yr old, justin, in that he not only has no trouble being under-weight...he has been no lower than the 95th percentile in height and weight, all along!     momof2, My son just turned 2 last month, he was diagnosed with celiac disease 6 months ago - his igg was 25 (borderline) and his iga was 52 (very high) but I had no other tests done because going gluten free was an instantanious improvement - night and day.
