Hello all, I'm hoping someone here can clear something up for me. I've read that an endoscopy with biopsy of the small bowel is the gold standard for diagnosing Celiac. I've had two blood tests which both came back negative, and so I suggested the endoscopy to my doctor because so far they haven't come up with any other ideas and my symptoms are consistent... -

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I looked at Enterolab's website but I couldn't tell if they do testing for people outside of the United States? Does anyone know? I'm in Canada. Thanks, Kelly -

Hello, I had the blood tests done for Celiac and my doc told me that it was negative, although he didn't give me the specific results (levels etc) as he didn't have them. My question is, is it possible to have a completely negative blood result and still have Celiac? I've been going through the ringer since January being sick with tummy trouble... -
Hello all! I'm wondering if many people here had/have problems with iron deficiency as a result of Celiac? I haven't been diagnosed yet (awaiting the results of bloodwork, have not had an endoscopy) but some regular blood work (CBC etc) found that my iron levels were very low, despite the fact that I take an iron supplement daily. Does anyone know if Celiac can make you more susceptible to pancreatic cancer? I know that it can cause problems with the pancreas and make intestinal cancers more probable, but is there any research on pancreatic cancer specifically. I'm asking because my mom died fairly young of pancreatic cancer, and I've been told by doctors that it may be hereditary...
