I know this is old but saw the thread and wanted to reply. After giving birth to my daughter, I had a similar reaction to the soap. I talked to my doctor and pharmacist and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate which my pharmacist says is the stuff in the soap to make it slick. I am already allergic to sulfa drugs and sulfites...
