  1. Thanks for the replies. I don't really have pain after eating just fullness but I can't pinpoint any one thing. I haven't tried cutting out corn yet but I did have a allergy test for all those things and it was a normal. In fact my family doctor told me I wasn't celiac because the allergy test was negative I'm not really happy with that diagnosis I think...
  2. I had a positive biopsy and negative blood tests. My GI told me to try the diet for 3 months and if I wasn't improving that it was IBS. I've been gluten-free for 5 months my legs cramp have stopped and I have more energy. I'm following the diet very strictly but I still get bloated and constipated no matter what i eat. I've tried probiotics and every...
  3. I had a positive biopsy but all my blood tests were normal. My GI said to try the diet FOR 3 MONTHS and if I didn't get better than it was IBS (he says its one of the two but can't be sure which one). He didn't even ask me to come in for a follow up. I went to my family doctor for a second opinion who gave me a food allergy test. It was normal so should...

  5. I had a positive biopsy and negative allergy/blood tests. I'm supposed to be trying the gluten-free diet for 3 months to see if it's true. I don't think it is because I know there were times when ate gluten and never had a reaction and there are times i have reactions when I know I've had no gluten. I've been on and off the diet (because my doctors have...
  6. You can be gluten/wheat/locatose intolerant without being celiac. But blood tests aren't always accurate a biopsy should be. P.S. Forte made me very sick too but I highly recommend probiotics. Ginger and peppermint teas are also good for the stomach
  7. My biopsy was positive but all the blood tests and food allergy test were negative. I've been on and off the diet and saw no difference either way. I don't get sick every time I eat gluten. My family doctor says I don't have it because the food allergy was negative my GI says it's either celiac or IBS Could the biopsy be wrong?
  8. Hi am a 23 year old female. My biopsy was positive for celiac even though all my blood work was negative. I tried the diet but didn't get better. When I started eating gluten again, I didn't feel an worse, there are no certain foods that set off my symptoms. My GI says it is either celiac or IBS. My regular physician says it is not celiac because the...

ARCHIVED Fed Up With My Doctor

I had a positive biopsy so my GI told me to go gluten-free. I did for 2 weeks (without improvement) I called him today to check on my blood work and he said it was negative so now he wants me stay of dairy and try another medication. He says he'll have to look for something else and not to worry about going gluten-free any more. He didn't even call to...
  10. Thanks for your input I just talked to my GI now he says to go off the gluten-free diet because the bloodwork was negative even though the biopsy was positive. This isn't what he said before but I guess he changed his mind since I'm not improving now he wants me to stay off the dairy and try another medication. I'm fed up and ready to look for another doctor
  11. My blood test was negative the biopsy was positive I've been gluten-free for 2 weeks I thought i was feeling better but then out of no where the bloating and cramps started all over again (the gas never went way, but leg cramps have stopped). I can't think of anything I could have had with gluten I'm starting to think it must be something else my GI wants...
  12. I had a positive biopsy and am still waiting on the blood test My GI wants me to go gluten-free for 3 months to see if I get better before he diagnoses me even if the test is negative. I've been gluten-free for 2 wks. I thought I was feeling better but I still look pregnant and the gas hasn't let up at all. My stomach went down for a day or 2 (like it...
  13. I had a biopsy that came back positive then my GI gave me the blood test to confirm. I'm still waiting for the results I would think he would do the blood work first. I have a lot of the symptoms: gas, bloating, irritability, leg cramps, tingling. What's more reliable? I would hate to think I'm going gluten-free for nothing.
