  1. Hello - I was also sick for 10 years before being diagnosed. I didn't see any real improvement until about a year into the diet, then I finally felt more or less normal after about 2 years. It can take an adult's intestines up to 5 years to heal. I also agree with everyone else that it takes a long time to figure out all the possible sources of cross-contamination...

  4. Yes, unfortunately, I think I may be one of the "unlucky" celiacs. I already couldn't eat dairy, and seem to have developed a legume intolerance since going gluten free.
