  1. Your case sounds very similar to my two adult daughters, both of whom have been biopsy diagnosed as having celiac disease, and both of whom had it "triggered" by their first pregnancy (not uncommon). Nother my wife nor I, nor our parents (as far as we know) had celiac symptoms, and I am very intrigued as to where it came from in our family. Out of curiosity...

    ARCHIVED Dr. Kenneth Fine (enterolab)

Almost a year ago, Dr. Fine was a major topic of this board, and a "group letter" was sent to him requesting information about his research. Has anyone (other than me) heard from him since that time? Well, I have heard from him. He sent me an email announcing (a) a private catered open house and health lecture update at the newly expanded and renovated...

ARCHIVED Group Letter to Dr. Fine

The letter looks great. Please add my name. I have been tested, and retested, by Enterolab. Joe G
  4. Well, the suject of Dr. Fine seems to be weqring thin, and about time I would say. I happen to basically agree with almost everyone---aside from the picayune stuff. Rachel is correct in saying that Dr. Fine, like any good Doctor, should defend his position that gluten is causing her distress when apparently that hasn't been the case. This also happened...

I have two adult daughters, both biopsy diagnosed as celiacs (2000 and 2003). Neither my wife nor I, nor our parents, have or had any celaic-related symptoms. In my zeal to learn more about this affliction, since...
  6. I was tested several years ago by Dr. Fine, and at that time, he told me by email that he planned to publish his research in the near future. After reading the mesages on this board about him in recent weeks, I sent him an email last week in which I reminded him of his promise many years ago, and asked when I could expect to see his research. I promptly...

ARCHIVED Doctor Northern Va Or Dc

You may want to consider seeing Dr. Douglas Sigmon, a GP in Gainesville VA. He is knowledgeable of celiac disease and followed up with a friend by recommending a biopsy be performed by Dr. Kenneth Mirkin, who practices at Prince William Hospital. Dr. Mirkin, a gastroenterologist, is extremely knowledgeable of celiac matters, and you may want to contact...
