  2. hey guys! its been forever : ) doing good though. quick question - i have been eating trader joes' frozen "chicken vindaloo" meal for lunch lately. it appears to be gluten free but doesn't say so on the packaging. just thought i would double check here. thanks!

  10. been off the gluten for like 8 months. i had my blood tested again 6 months after diagnosis and again last week. i HATE having blood taken and usually get a little clammy or whatever, though other times i am perfectly fine. however, the two times i have had it taken since i have been off the gluten, my body has completely freaked out...

  12. verrrrrrrrrry interesting. b/c i dont ever get like "GI issues" so i never thought i was that sensitive. b/c i never really have like these sudden dramatic physical reactions! but maybe the fact that i am in a pretty constant state of nausea and fatigue - is just MY body's way of being sensitive. can't wait to read that celiac book you...
  13. thanks so much for the feedback. and you know, maybe i am NOT as careful with some things - wooden spoons, toasters, etc. as i should be... or not as insistant in restaurants as i should be. and when i make food that other ppl have cooked - i never know how careful THEY were. you know? AND, i DO eat a lot of stuff from the prepared...

  17. heyas! i was diagnosed celiac in october. and have since been off the gluten. and while i haven't had as many stomach aches since then, i still have the fatigue, nausea, etc. so, it hasn't gotten SO much better. i have been reading a lot about OTHER allergies online and about how maybe giving up gluten isn't THE 100% answer. ugh.   18. i basically eat the same things every day. yogurt trail mix fruit chicken salad gluten-free crackers chicken or fish rice veggies and gluten free rice or energy bars... i went off dairy for a week of so about a month ago and didnt feel any different or better so i got back on. was feeling a BIT better, i think until this last week...
  19. hey there! so for lunch, i often eat a container of trader joe's rosemary chicken salad or their mediterranean tuna lunch along with some mary's gone crackers. sooo good! however, my tummy always feels a bit churney after the chicken salad. i have checked the label (of course!) and it all looks ok, but was wondering if anyone else...

  21. i have been off the gluten for over 8 weeks. but my symptoms haven't gotten better so i took the forum advice and went off dairy 3 weeks ago - (aside from one pc of dark choc a day - could that hurt?) i have replaced my daily yogurt and milk with soy versions or almond milk. but my nausea and fatigue persist and my tummy feels...
  22. thanks for the tips! had some great stuff last night. i actually got to speak with the cute chef who was SO nice and accomadating and gave me some wheat free tamari sauce for my sushi and made me some of my favorite spice tuna crispy rice dish using the tamari as well. was DELISH! was a great experience. and speakin up wasn't as hard...
  23. i will have to check that out! but doesn't soy sauce contain wheat? i eat soy but i didn't think i could have soy sauce b/c of the wheat?
  24. hey gang - heading out for a fancy schmancy going away dinner for a friend tonight at koi in LA. i will probably just stick to sushi & rice with no soy sauce. but they have a spicy tuna with crispy rice dish which is to die for! does anyone know if this is gluten free? i am thinking the crispy rice may be fried? what about miso soup...
