  1. My DD (now 2) has had chronic diarrhea and failure to thrive for one year. She has had many tests for celiac and other GI disorders. Her blood test was neg and her biopsy was inconclusive. She had slight villous blunting and many lymphoid cells but not intraepithelial lymphocytes. We had her tested through Enterolab and she had an elevated fecal antigladin...
  2. Is your son taking any medications? My daughter's situation is similar no gluten, dairy, fish, shellfish, rice, or corn. The rice and corn are new. I agree with you about the corn. It is very hard to remove while on a gluten-free diet. When Julia started taking Zyrtec her stool consistency improved. I think sometimes their intestines are so inflammed...
  3. thanks to all who have replied. I got very excited that Julia had a normal-looking BM yesterday! Today she had a blowout! I was wondering about the rice and corn since she tested borderline to these two on the skin test. If the diarrhea isn't resolving over the next two weeks rice and corn will be the next to go. It is so hard to feed a two year old...
  4. You are right about the Neocate. It contains corn syrup solids. Can he tolerate potatoes?
  5. Did any of you experience formed poops surrounded by liquid in the same diaper? This has happened a few times in the last two weeks. Laura

My daughter also two is allergic to milk, fish, shellfish, possibly rice and corn (small welt on skin test). She is still eating corn and rice and has been milk-free for 1 month and gluten-free for two weeks. I found out about a formula called Neocate Jr. It...
  7. thanks for the info. I am continuing the gluten-free diet and learning the best I can about this disease.
  8. I haven't gotten any replies to my previous post. I guess I am not the only one that is confused over my daughter's case. The one thing I have noticed is that when she is off gluten then put back on (we have done it twice) she gets very sick with vomiting, fever and worse diarrhea. That last 3-4 days then kind of stabilizes. Is this a common thing seen...
  9. I am posting for the first time today. I have been reading posts on and off for months. Thanks to all who have helped, the advice has been invaluable. I am not sure if my daughter has celiac or not. She is 2 yrs old now and has had diarrhea for close to a year. She has had a negative blood test for celiac at 15 months and biopsy that was abnormal (villous...
