  1. Hi roflcarl, In theory, plain meats don't have gluten *in* them. But they could certainly become cross contaminated by getting gluten ingredients *on* them. It would depend on how the kitchen was used. Do they grill the chicken on something that's also used to saute or cook breaded items? Is there any sort of dedicated area they place items that are...
  2. Brianna - Hi - my husband was diagnosed 6 years ago and I still remember how overwhelmed he and I both were. It was a strange new world to navigate, but it got better with a little knowledge. Read up on the suggestions made by a previous poster, read more on this forum, and just start eating simple foods at first. Baked potatoes, Tinkyada pasta (gluten...
  3. Melissaann829 Afterglow Cosmetics and Monave Minerals are two that are completely gluten free from top to bottom. All cosmetics and other products in their lines are gluten free. Neutrogena does have several, but I agree that you should check first for the type of product you want. I've looking into lots of gluten free cosmetics products, but haven...
  4. Amie, I know, it's really frustrating and confusing. My husband was diagnosed in 2006 and we chose to have a gluten free home so he could feel more comfortable (he's pretty sensitive). I prepare all of his food, so whatever touches my hands (like my face!) could touch his food. That meant I needed to do an overhaul on my makeup. So much has changed...
  5. Hi - I just posted tonight, but I'm new and don't really know how to refer you to that post! So I'll just repeat myself. My husband was diagnosed with celiac disease last summer and we've had a 100% gluten-free home, even though he's the only one diagnosed. After continued problems, I recently (this summer) decided to go totally confirmed gluten-free...
  6. Did that just now - Hadn't found that part of the personal profile info yet. Thank you!
  7. Yes, I noticed that you can't put it in your posts, trying to do it "legally" but I'm clueless! I'll give it another look. Thanks.
  8. I have found a few other companies that seem to know what they are doing. Let me know if you need any more info. Good luck! erika
  9. There are many truly gluten free options for cosmetics. My husband was diagnosed last summer, and just recently I made the commitment to go gluten-free for cosmetics, too. Found out I had some gluten in my concealer, and you know how that can stick around in your fingerprint for the better part of a day! I am just starting up a blog to help others figure...
  10. I created an external blog last month about gluten free cosmetics. In the Help section here on the message board, it says when you create your blog here, you have the option of making one "locally" or connecting to an external blog. I don't recall seeing such a choice and I am wondering how to do that. Can anyone help? Thanks!
