  1. Hi everybody, Its been awhile since I have been here. I was diagnosed as gluten sensitive at the beginning of the year. I was very good for about 6 months, then i fell off the wagon. I know, bad bad me. I have a new symptom and was wondering if anyone else has this. I dont know if it is related to gluten, or might be hormonal or something else entirely...
  2. I have my annual physical approaching and am wondering if there are any specific blood tests I should request. I have been gluten-free since January and although my test came back negative, I am definately at least sensative to gluten. I just want to make sure I keep tabs on any deficiencies I may be developing due to missing out on the grains. I also lost...
  3. As gross as it is, I get pieces of putrified food stuck along the edges of the back of my throat. They break loose and cause the most awful taste and odor. My dr told me to gargle with peroxide, which is horrible in itself. I have always had this, but it is much more frequent since I went gluten-free. or maybe Im just paying more attention to everything now...
  4. I may be way off base, but I thought I'd ask here anyway. I have been gluten-free now for a month. My energy has returned, by digestion has calmed down, and I can sleep again. One of the things I have noticed is a type of acne-like breakouts on both my face and scalp. I also have a problem with food collecting in the deep pockets of my tonsils, which has...
  5. Well, after 2 weeks of feeling great, i had a setback today. Apparently Faygo pop doesnt like me. It is the only new thing i have added this week and i had a visit from the big D and was reunited with the brain fog and fatigue. I know i will have these setbacks, and it is still better than the way things were even 3 weeks ago. I cant wait to try my hand at...
  6. Alrighty, my blood work came back negative. I am going to remain glutenfree regardless. I will check back in with my pc and see where we go from here. Im a little disappointed, but the dietary response is impossible to ignore.
  7. I am new here, and have a few questions. I have only been gluten-free for a week and a half and I have such tremendous relief! I am awaiting my blood work results. My Pc had mentioned a possible biopsy pending the results. I have recently had a endoscopy for GERD. Wouldnt Celiacs have been discovered then? MY pc said no, and that we need to check the colon...
  8. Thanks for the red carpet treatment. Upon reading posts here, I am so amazed to see symptoms I had been having listed throughout the posts. So, the flamethrower behind my face wasnt from the migraines, it was gluten. The days when I could barely think of my own name was gluten. The mad rush to a bathroom after i ate a meal wasnt from my gallbladder being...
  9. Hello everyone. I am a 42 yr old woman. I have been suffering for about 2 years with symptoms ranging from migraines to chronic diarrhea. I had my gallbladder removed in 06. I have been miserable since. I had been attributing all of my misery to the lack of a gallbladder, when an aquaintance suggested i check with my doctor about celiacs. I am still awaiting...
