  1. I could just give up gluten and let this all go, I guess..... It will be to easy for me to cheat if I don't have a diagnosis, yes, I have no will power! Plus! IF you are dx with celiac you can deduct on your taxes the cost difference of gluten free food and the shipping or gas/mileage to get it. Hey, every bit helps and with all the special...
  2. Thanks everyone for your posts! I did go on line after my last post to try and find some evidence for villi damage caused by allergy- and I did. I also found that there aren't many people in the web world that believe you can have sugar cane allergy. I was surprised by this and I was too tired to read more about why, but maybe my GI doc was meaning that...
  3. My question: I got tested in Feb. - EGD and blood work and blood was normal, EGD showed "beginning stage" of celiac (got 2 opinions on slide to confirm). At that time I was gluten free - mostly- for years since I felt so much better off of wheat. Then I found out that I should have been ON gluten and started eating it. Now I went to a new Doc, well...
  4. Well...... I will try and help. I have NOT been dx with celiac. I have been to sooooo many Drs since my first symptoms apeared- about 8-9 years ago. I just went to a top Doc and he is stumped as well. (I have EGD results: "beginning stage" of celiac -but this was done while I was gluten free so I have been eating yucky gluten for months now and...
  5. I would say that 99% sure it is iron in your vitimins causing the green. Not everyone needs iron when they are pregnant. Ask your Dr. to check your iron level. I never took iron. It also can make you constipated. Best wishes for your new baby! Kmps
  6. My son and I both just tested positive for corn allergy. The ALlergist said that it wasn't bad enough to eliminate corn if we didn't care to, but that we should rotate it deffinitely. He gave me papers on rotation which state that we can all develop allergies if we eat the same food over and over so rotation is the key to many allergies. I know a bunch...
  7. The new Dr I have an apointment with is Dr. Jaffe who has an office at U of Pen and another in Radnor, PA. I don't live that far from NYC and I would love to go to the Celiac center there at Columbia, but if I have to make several trips it would just be a strain on me and my family in many ways. I found that Dr. Jaffe had very good reviews. They don...
  8. I am new here. My experience: I went to GI and had "too many symptoms to point to one specific dx" so he tested for Celiac (as well as other things) and I got EGD, etc. Test came back with light abnormalities which "may be beginning stage of Celiac" so he tells me, "you don't eat a lot of gluten already, right? So just don't eat any more and you will...
  9. I live in Allentown, pa and I have symptoms of Celiac. I need to find a Dr. and I am nervous about finding a good one. Does anyone have a recommendation? THanks so much!
