  1. I just wanted to say thanks for such detailed replies....they were really helpful. When my husband gets home I am letting him read all these responses so we can make a decision together and of course we will still talk to our pediatrician on Thursday. I'll update you all!
  2. Thank you for all your replies. I called my daughter's pediatrician this morning and we are going in for a consult on Thursday to discuss it. I let them know that she had already started a gluten-free diet and asked how long she should go back on gluten if we decided to test. The nurse said "a week". Does that sound right? Who knows how long is long...
  3. Well I just wanted to get some advice on this and everyone here is soooo knowledgeable! I just feel so blessed to have found this forum! My daughter is almost 22 months, and almost 18lbs. Diagnosed as failure to thrive with no real explanation. We've been to an endocrinologist and had bloodwork done. Pediatrician has mentioned celiac disease about...
  4. Sorry, this may have already been posted...I just found this on Mcdonalds.com: French Fries: Potatoes, vegetable oil (partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor (wheat and milk derivatives)*, citric acid (preservative), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain color), dimethylpolysiloxane (antifoaming agent)), salt. Prepared in vegetable...
  5. This is going to be a dumb question, but when ya'll say "fatty" stool, what do you mean? My daughter is still in diapers and I'm now analyzing every BM she has, b/c clearly something is not right. I just didn't know how you know if it's fatty or not? Help
  6. Belinda, Thanks so much for all the information! I'm so happy your daughter is doing well now! We are starting our daughter on a gluten-free diet today. We go every couple of weeks for a weight check, but I am just going to try the diet and give it lots of time and see if she improves. I just can't get over how similar my daughter looks to all the...
  7. Jadesmom: When you say your daughter's belly button popped out as her belly grew, you mean before she went gluten free? My daughter's has done the same...I even asked her pediatrician about it...she didn't really give me an answer. I just can't believe this...it seems like I found this website and all the pieces are just falling together to make this puzzle...
  8. I think I am going to cry! I am so thankful to the person who posted asking for pictures and for all the people who posted pictures of their little ones! My daughter 21 months, looks exactly like these pictures.... from the distended belly, the frail limbs, the ribs sticking out, slight dark circles under eyes (somedays worse than others)....and the reply...
