  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Thanks. The one advantage to having had breast cancer is that my oncologist does blood work every 4 months:-)
  3. Thanks I'll get myself a bottle and try that. I'll let you know if it helps :-) Thanks again for all the input!!
  4. Thanks for all the advice and thoughts. I'm willing to try anything at this point. Apple cider vinegar sounds reasonable. Any ideas of dosage?
  5. Sorry just tried to post a reply to a quote and I think I messed it up :-( My diet was always very good, healthy (I never ate fast food!!) and of course now my diet is gluten free. The GERD caused damage to my esophagus and that was when they put me on the Nexium. I have a hiatal hernia which of course doesn't help. I had breast cancer anda mastectomy...
  6. My situation is a little different. I have been on Nexium for about 10 years because of GERD, I was diagnosed with celiac about 4 years ago and have gluten free since then. The reflux has not improved if anything it has become worse. I read an article about acid blockers causing an inability to digest gluten and I wondering if Nexium is what caused the...
  7. Has anyone else been diagnosed as having celiac disease after being on Nexium or a another drug that suppresses stomach acid for a long period of time?
  8. I have had real problems with Continental, the last flight being yesterday. When yet again didn't have my meal though the flight attendants got me fruit and cheese from first class. That was actually better than the meal they usually serve. I really resent them telling me the meal is an amenity and so I should bring my own food. I just sent them a letter...
  9. I am curious to find out other people's experiences with airline special meals. Have you used them? Have they actually been served to you? Or as has happened to me on several occasions not made it to the plane despite checking in advance to be sure it would be! Thanks for any input you might have
  10. Hi, I'm sorry I missed your post. I wish I had seen it earlier. I swear by Doctor Rahmin, he is in Ridgewood, NJ and diagnosed me after years of problems. Lesley
  11. Hi Fellow Feet Sufferers, I hate to tell you I have had this problem ( you are right - dermatographism) for close to 40 years, I know they say it usually clear up in 6 months or so, right!!! My experience is that I have it for a few months, it goes for a few months and usually comes back worse than ever !! However recent years have been by far the worst...
  12. Hi, Yup, I've had allergy testing, nothing definitive resulted. I have had this problem since I was about 15 and I'm now 54. I have been on all kinds of stuff including steroids which I now avoid like the plague. I have been on Zyrtec once daily for about 2 years and that helped for a while, then they came back with a vengeance and the Dr. added Allegra...
  13. That's great - thanks for the update. Lesley
  14. Hi, I was diagnosed with Celiac last December and have been gluten free since then and feel great. However I have suffered with chronic urticaria (hives) for years. No-one has ever been able to figure out why I get them. I naively hoped that celiac was the problem but unfortunately they haven't gone away. I keep them somewhat under control by taking Allegra...
  15. Hi , I sent off my e-mails - got one reply. Thanks for doing the work and writing the e-mails for me!! My question is what more can I do? I find it interesting that the restaurant industry seems to be bending over backwards for the Atkins diet. I have sent several e-mails to chain restaurants that I used to frequent before I was diagnosed last year...
  16. Hi, I was diagnosed in December 2003, and I found it tough going Gluten free - especially with the bread. However, I feel so much better, I am 54 and wish I had been diagnosed years ago. I found a bread I love (Flax Seed Bread from Glutino). Broke down and ate Cream Puffs that a client made, and felt lousy for a couple of days (still not sure it wasn't worth...
