  1. I'm looking for some good online gluten free shopping sites.
  2. Thanks for the help everybody
  3. Does anyone know if Hunts Tomato Sauce is safe to use or not? Mom made sauce for Lasagna tonight and used Hunt' Tomato Sauce. Luckily she did not also use Western Families Italian Paste, as when I just looked at it a minute ago, I found that it contains Wheat Gluten. Those cans are now marked to remind the parents that they are unsafe. I know there is a book...
  4. Thank you kindly, Fiddle Faddle and Baking Barb. I'm sure going to give them a try. Morgan
  5. My family loves that boxed Curry sauce that you can purchase at Asian markets and some reg. grocery stores. The kind that is in solid blocks and you add what you want to it as it liquidfies. My dad bought a box, forgeting to read the ingredients. It has wheat in it. Right now he is preparing a big batch of it, and was just reminded by my mother and I that...
  6. I'm enjoying these foods too much. I'm trying to loose the weight I've gained from being GI . But I've found I've enjoyed the Gluten free diet too much. You people are creating too many tasty foods. Stop I beg you. LOL. At least I have not gained weight.
  7. Thank Wonka. I'll let you know how it comes out. Morgan
  8. Knowing that the only way I'll eat my egg rolls is by using rice paper, can rice paper be fried? I'd love to be able to have a cruchie, juicy, hot egg roll. Any good receipe for egg drop soup? I used to use packaged ingredients to make mine, but I can't now because the package contains No No's. Help is greatly appreciated, as the topic here is making me salviate...
  9. Thanks for the compliments on my avatar. I've had cats do that too. BTW Missy'sMom, I used the sorghum in place of the garfava flower and the bread turned out beautiful. And better tasting.
  10. I tried that bread receipe (by Laurie- Lorka) mentioned in Mamatides topic. It turned out fine. My parents tried it and my dad said it reminds him of Rye bread. And believe you me, that's a compliment. But the only problem I had with it is the taste. Not that it's bad. I have taste buds that are enlarged, so there can be foods that taste different to me,...
  11. My mother has a consultation with a gastro doc Friday. Her reg Doc did not pooh pooh the idea of possible Celiac. I want to print out a check list of symptoms. Is there a web site that has such a check list? The sites I've come across only have a few symptoms listed. And a lot list different symptoms, but I don't want to print out lots of listed symptoms...
  12. Thanks for the replies everyone. Hopefully I'll get the bread baking right. I'm terrible at cooking.
  13. I actually did a message the other day with the type of bread machine I have. No one was replying to it, not til I left this topic and now the other is getting replies. It's an Oster by the way.
  14. Good idea Jerseyangel. I would've used the oven except my dad is an oven hogger. He's become the family chef.
  15. Thanks itchygirl. Interesting article. I'm going to print it out for my parents to read. I hope i get on the Oregon Health Plan too. Morgan
