  1. Hi, My husband went to see the GI doc and had another EGD, 3 biopsies. The doc found an ulcer at the top of the duodenal bulb and biopsied for h.pylori. He took 2 additional biopsies to see how/if he is healing any since his Dx of Celiac in Nov (also ordered labs). Informed us it would be about a week before he has all the results. Started him on Protonix...
  2. So, Meline, I am not sure if you have seen any of my recent posts (I am faily new to the forum). Anyway, my husband was diagnosed with Celiac Disease last November. Actually he was diagnosed for the second time. I found out he was diagnosed at the age of 10 and after being on a gluten free diet for a few years he stopped. Since his diagnosis last Nov... Did...
  3. Thanks! This is a ConAgra product.
  4. I am not sure I can offer much for advice but I would like to 'validate your frustration.' You have every right to vent. Maintaining a gluten free diet is not easy, especially when people around you are eating your favorite gluten filled foods. I don't have celiac but my husband does. The subway sandwich is not worth it, when my husband gets sick its...
  5. Hi, Does anyone know if Crunch n' Munch is gluten free? This is one of my husbands favorite snacks. The label looks okay with the exception of 'artificial falvoring.' Or perhaps someone might know of a similar snack that is gluten free? Thanks. Sorry for so many questions these past few days. So much to learn to keep my husband well. Went to see...
  6. Thanks, I really appreciate the info. So much to learn it can be very overwhelming. Gretchen
  7. Wow! Thanks for the quick reply. I currently use Arm & Hammer Super Scoop for kitty liter...maybe I will change to the scoop away to be on the safe side. Thanks so much for the info. I am really trying to get the house totally gluten free to prevent any contamination. Gretchen
  8. Hi, I have been reading through some of the posts and noticed the mention of wheat based kitty liter. I would have never thought to check my cats kitty liter for wheat? I will need to look at the label the next time I do my grocery shopping. Does anyone have any suggestions on a safe kitty liter to use? I can see how using a wheat based kitty liter could...
  9. Thank you all for your responses. I am feeling better about having my husband take these vitamins just knowing others have had success with them. I am very appreciative of this forum. I have been reading a lot of the posts and have learned a ton. I feel so helpless sometimes when my husband becomes sick and I can not find the source of gluten. There are...
  10. Hi, I am wondering if anyone has ever researched Rainbow light vitamins? I bought the mulitvite for my husband who has celiac disease. The label states it is gluten free. I question the % of daily value on some of the vitamins for example vitamin B6 is 1250%, B2 1471%, B1 1667%, and K is 125%. All the daily values seem to be extremely high. I have been researching...
  11. Thanks for the response. I too hope we can get to the bottom of things. I have encouraged him not to eat out at all. I hope the symptoms subside soon.
  12. Hi, I am new to this forum. My husband was diagnosed with Celiac Disease a few months ago. After we consulted with a nutritionist and learned about the gluten free diet he was doing well. His symptoms disapated and he began gaining weight back. Recently he has began showing symptoms again (the last couple of weeks). He neglected to tell me about these symptoms...
