  1. I was wondering if there are any good lists of basic things that are gluten-free. Stuff like snacks (I have the candy list), drinks, sauces, and other items. I sure would appreciate it. I am going nuts trying to figure out what I can and cannot eat. I'm not so good at reading ingredient lists. Does anyone know if Luna bars and GNC vitamins are gluten-free...
  2. Thanks for all the great advice. I really hadn't thought about cutting out dairy. I've never had a problem with it before. I don't like milk but love cheese, yogurt...really all dairy products other than milk. What are the protein bars/snack bars that are ok or anything else besides carrot sticks that I could keep on hand for emergencies? What about plastic...
  3. This is more than a little overwhelming to me. Im just not sure where to start. I am not sure what I can and cannot eat other than meats and veggies but not sure about my cooking pans, bowls, plates and utensils! I'll put my iron skillets in the oven on the self cleaning cycle today. I guess my stainless steele pans are ok? and metal spoons? How did everyone...
  4. I'm wondering how everyone felt after their biopsy. I have had trouble sleeping and staying asleep. I have a feeling they gave me something to counter act the meds they gave me during the procedure and that is keeping me from getting a good sleep. I am very sensative to meds. Also my stomache was hurting and feeling bloated last night even though I felt fine...
  5. Thanks for all the info and yes I know to stay on gluten until after the biopsy.
  6. Thing is I don't feel like I have a sinus infection(aside from the headache being in and around my eyes) and in fact I rarely get sick. I might get a cold but it is usually gone in 4 days or so without becoming full blown. As far as getting the flu or flu like illness, I haven't had that in at least 10 years! I have assumed that my over active immune system...
  7. I have another question. I'm wondering if after being gluten-free your body becomes even more sensitive to gluten. So if you accidentally eat something with gluten, is your reaction worse than before you went on a gluten-free diet? Also how serious is cross contamination issues for most people? Thanks!
  8. For arthritis or any kind of inflammatory condition it may be best to avoid all nightshades - potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers and tobacco, some people find it makes a big difference in their pain levels.
  9. I went to the doctor and saw his NP a couple weeks ago. I had been having severe acid reflux and not having much luck with over the counter meds so I decided to go get a prescription. I also mentioned that I had been very very tired (with accompanying poor concentration and brain fog) lately so she ordered some blood tests. Turns out that my iron and b12...
