  1. I love this forum! Thanks for all your input! Since all my friends and family are not celiac they don't seem to fully understand my stomach issues. They look at me like I'm a crazy hypochondriac sometimes. It's good to have people out there who are in the same situation to give input.
  2. So I may not be totally crazy?! I guess I'll skip the spinach and see if that helps.
  3. Hey, so I've been a year gluten-free since my celiac diagnosis. I've been doing really good but the past couple weeks I'm having yucky tummy again. I thought maybe I accidentally ate something with gluten but I can't think of anything I've eaten that may have gluten and the symptoms are persisting. The only new thing I've added to my diet is spinach salad...
  4. Thanks for all the fabulous suggestions. It makes me feel so much better talking to people who have been through this. Sometimes I feel so alone with a lot of sympathy from friends and family but they can't answer any questions because they're no sick. Hopefully with more patience, time, label reading and food journaling I will make it through. You are...
  5. I didn't realize that shampoo and lotion could even have gluten! Thanks for the suggestion I'll go check right now. I guess I was just hoping that once I had a diagnosis I would be magically cured with my new diet. I'm a 23 year old 4th grade teacher so with all my activities and a busy teacher schedule I don't have the time to run to the bathroom whenever...
  6. I was diagnosed a month ago and have been eating gluten-free since. At first it seemed like my stomach symptoms cleared up but now I will have several days a week where I'm still sick. Is this just because I'm still healing, I'm getting gluten contamination some how, or are there other foods that don't sit well? I just want to know that I can make it through...
  7. Well I went to the specialist today! He said I tested so highly positive on the blood test that he was not concerned about even giving me a biopsy unless I felt I needed one. The biopsy thing kind of freaked me out, so I passed. He also said everything you everyone has said. "It's all or nothing!" I either have to give up gluten completely or I'm never...
  8. Thanks. My next question is how gluten free are celiac sufferers suppose to be? Can I eat it once in a while or in small doses? Are there different levels at different degrees? OR, do I need to give it up altogether down to the last crumb forever?
  9. Could the biopsy come back and show that I don't actually have Celiacs or is my blood test result pretty positive?
  10. I've had health problems my entire life and for the last 2 months I've had stomach symptoms. A friend of mine has celiac and told me to get tested to rule it out. My IGA came back Friday negative and the nurse told me I was fine. Yesterday my TTG came back at a 76 so they said I was very positive. Tomorrow I have a meeting with a specialist. Is my blood...
