    All the recipes for bread that I can find and the ones on the side of the packages all indicate that they are to be made with a bread maker. I don't have one nor do I have a big standard mixer. I have my hands and a regular old hand mixer. Can I still make bread?

    I need some advice because my 13 year old son's pediatrican seems to think that elevated total cholesterol and high phosphorus is ok.     I am interested in your child that is Aspbergers (sp?). I also have a son that has been dx with high functioning autism. He is a twin and both of them have had blood tests. All negative but positive genes and lot of symptoms. Can you tell me about your child?

    Sorry about that last post. New to posting. I am not on a gluten-free diet because the doctors keep telling me that it isn't related and that just because I have the gene doesn't mean I have it. Especially since my blood test came back negative. Although, I still have all sorts of symptoms. Soo frustrating.

    They just said that the HLA - DQ2 is the main gene that predisposes to gluten sensitivity and celiac. Can also prodisse to microscopic colitis and other autoimmune syndromes. Nothing about DQ1. But Dr. Fine did return an email to me that just said the above and that DQ1 usually doesn't lead to celiac but to sensitivity only. I just wanted to understand...

    My 10 year old son's tests all came back negative (IgG, IgA, Autoantibodies, Endomysial and the Tissue Transg). But I though his TT result seemed weird. It was 0.1. In the description they say negative is less than 7.0. So, that says to me that he is really negative. Any comments?

    Thanks again for the additional replies. The doctors at Stanford do not want to do a bioposy (sp). So, I guess I will see what the lactose test shows on Monday and then make a plan. Probably will go on diet and get other family members tested.
