  1. Recent Biopsy suggest Celiac. First blood test came back IGA: 200 Still waiting for others. Was on gluten-free for 2 weeks then 1 week reg food then gave blood work. Biopsy reported minor damage. Is it possible I still have Celiac with an IGA of 200.
  2. Does the type of damage effect the symptoms. Dr. wanted me to eat gluten for 1 week so he could correlate biospy with blood work. Since going back to gluten I have had pins and needles in fingers and toes. Can this happen? Accord. to the one biopsy sample there was mild damage.
  3. Is it possible to have mild blunted villi, crypt hyperplasia and Intra-epithelial lymphocytes. Only 1 biopsy was taken so could there be more damage in other place of the intestine.
  4. Recent biopsy showed: 1.) Benign small intestinal mucosa, with foacl, partial villous blunting and mild crypt hperplasia, suggestive, but not diagnostic, of celiac sprue. 2.) No intraepithelial lymphocytosis is seen. 3.) Recommended clinical, endoscopic and serologic correlation. Dr. didn't do blood test first. Can you have Celiac with no intraepithelial...
  5. Does this sound like Celiac? Have been gluten-free for 2 weeks. PCP and GI were communicating. Report states: 1.) Benign small intestinal mucosa, with focal, partial villous blunting and mild crypt hyperplasia, suggestive, but not diagnostic, of celiac sprue. 2.) No intraepithelial lymphocytosis seen. 3.) Recommended clinical, endoscopic and serologic...
  6. From the GI Dr. Does this sound like Celiac: 1.) Benign small intestinal mucosa, with focal, partial villous blunting and mild crypt hyperplasia, suggestive, but not diagnostic of celiac sprue 2.) No intrapithelial lymphocytosis is seen 3.) Recommended clinical, endoscopic and serologic correlation; re-biopsy after gluten-free diet, if clinically...
  7. Since being sick for a few months and finally getting dx of Celiac it appears I notice other problems as well. 1.) Is it natural to think all other (even minor) problems are related to Celiac? - Dry eyes from celiac or is allergy 2.) The body aches (like most people don't belive), but how do you know which ones are related to Celiac and which...
  8. Anyone else had night sweats before going gluten-free. I hope it isn't just me. When you look up night sweats you get nervous.
  9. Thank you all for your help so far. 1.) Is it normal to have some setbacks (stomach pain) while you are healing even if you haven't take in Gluten. Been having 2 goods days then 1 bad. Have eaten mostly white rice and grilled chicken/ground lean beef. 2.) What is considered diahrrea? After researching I am even more confused? Not trying to be...
  10. Still have a lot to learning to do. I have lost some weight probably due to malabsorption...However, I was wondering if people have lost weight while starting the gluten-free diet. Also, are muscle aches, stiffness and joint pain common. Finally, does anyone have any idea when the body start absorbing nutrients again. Is this realted to villi healing...
  11. Noticed more urination. gluten-free just over 1 wekk. Is this due to malabsorption and will it go away with healing. Negative test for diabetes. Any thoughts/input would be appreciated.
  12. gluten-free for 1 week. However, still get "twitches in legs and stomach". Not as bad as before. Any idea what is going?
  13. This may sound silly, but how do you know when you are starting to heel? Also, Does anyone know if the rash on my hands is from DH? Small pimples with clear liquid started after CT Scan with contrast and Iodine? May have notice a few pimples like this in the past? Since going Gluten Free most pimples have disappeared, but now I have peeling skin? Any...
  14. Is it possible your stomach can feel a bit worse as you heel? Other symptoms seem to be improving? However, never had much D before diagnosis, now it seems more frequent? Maybe reacting to soy or vitamins? vitamins probably aren't doing much though if they aren't being absorbed right? Also, Anyone else find it difficut to digest some gluten free food...
  15. How long before the body starts absorbing correctly. Does this relate to the healing of the villi. Also, it seems like a lot of the gluten free food is hard to digest. Any ideas?
