  1. hi there, i agree with shay. it really does sound as though you may be dealing with some malnourishment. raw veganism can be VERY cleansing and healing in the short run but it is not really a sustainable long-term diet for a human. our bodies and brains NEED fats and proteins, some of which are extremely difficult to attain from plant sources....
  2. Sorry, one more thing -- I've also noticed that I retain water after eating a lot of wheat. I used to think it was normal to wake up with a slight overall puffiness in my face, most noticeable in my upper lip. I don't think anyone else would ever notice it but I could always tell when I was putting on my makeup that my lip was slightly swollen. This...
  3. Hi dilettantesteph and ravenwoodglass, Thank you both for your replies. What you both say makes sense. I could probably get to a derm but here is my question -- the rash is following the exact same pattern it did last time, which is to say that it is now invisible. I am left with itching which is not as severe as when there was visible redness. It...
  4. Hi all, I went MOSTLY gluten-free a year ago. I've never tested positive for celiac but I have other issues which led me to think that gluten could be a problem for me, so I decided to cut it out of my diet. Twice in the past 6-8 months, however, I have splurged on some bread and both times I developed a VERY itchy red splotchy rash all over my torso...
  5. I'm sorry to hear about your grain/fruit allergy! At least you were able to identify it. My rash has moved a bit -- it was mostly on the left side of my tummy, and now it's on the right, and seems better today overall. I took a second antihistamine this morning and probably will take one more tonight at bedtime, depending on how I'm doing. I made...
  6. Hi there! Thank you so much for your reply. I took one of my prescribed antihistamines (Atarax) last night and in about an hour, the rash was almost invisible. I still itched, but less intensely. I slept like a baby (the medication knocked me out), and when I woke up this morning the rash is still present but looks less angry than it did throughout the...
  7. Hi all, This is my first post here so please bear with me. Before I go into the details of what I'm currently experiencing, I will give a brief history: I'm 25 years old and have suffered from anxiety and obsessive worrying for as long as I can remember. I've had acne since I was about 14, and although it is mostly under control now my skin still...
