  1. NO this is not for me, it is for my son who is on a gluten free diet at the moment. He is 2 and blood tests are negative, but shows symptoms when eating gluten. Where is the best place for me to find out ahead of time what places we can eat at and what he can eat, especially concerning fast food. Some places have lists, some do not.. and I don't always...
  2. We have been as gluten free as possible now for a few weeks. That being said DH and I have made mistakes and it also seems that no matter where we go someone tries to give my 2 year old food. It doesn't help that DS tries to sneak food when I tell him he can't have any, even if I have his own food. He wants what everyone else is eating and he doesn't understand...
  3. We are very new to the gluten free diet and still learning... but we also notice other things in my son's digestion that lead us to believe that he is intolerant of chocolate and lactose.. but it's tough to figure out b/c he only seems to get bad poops from dairy when it's alot like ice cream. I know nothing about intolerances and things, I've never had...
  4. We have had my son on a Gluten free diet for about 4-5 days now. My son had never had a "real" formed bowel movement and is 2 years old.. mostly they were very loose/runny. He has also been iron deficient. Last week he had the flu or rotovirus, so we started the Gluten free diet when he was starting to feel better... Today he had his FIRST formed bowel...
  5. What about arrowroot cookies? Can't celiacs have arrowroot? I am not sure, but I bet there is a gluten free alternative if the ones in the store are not already gluten free.
  6. My doc ran the first bit of celiac testing for antibodies on my 2 year old son... one of the antibodies came back elevated but the lab tells my doc that it is inconclusive (because the other three were normal). So, my doc admits he is confused about he results. He ran another full celiac panel and the nurse called this morning and told my husband that...
  7. Thanx for the reply. I havn't taken him off Gluten yet, and I don't plan to until we find out more about what is going on. I also forgot to mention that he has a small heart murmur. I read somewhere online that Iron Deficient Anemia (side effect of Celiacs obviously, lol) can cause a small heart murmur. I thought it an interesting connection.
  8. Hello ladies! Lately I have been putting the puzzels together about my son and his iron deficiency and loose bowel movements. We have begun potty training (he is 24 months), and these issues just have always sorta bothered me but I was told they were normal and would get better. DS was exclusively breastfed until about 6-7 months of age, and then breastfed...
