  1. I've been on a strict gluten-free diet for many months now and still have some pretty consistant symptoms and some really bad days. SO I thought maybe it's something else I'm allergic to. I was thinking of going to an allergist and having some food allergy testing done. How common is this to have done? Has anyone else had good results from getting these types...
  2. Anyone know if chewy sweet tarts are gluten free?
  3. Well, I think I may have answered my own question. Instead of spending the day at the beach with my nieces, I'm staying home with abdominal pain, cramping and low back pain. So I guess sharing in Pizza night was not the best thing to do. I do not think I will be going in for the blood tests after all. I forgot how miserable it feels when your insides feel...
  4. The more I read here, the more I wonder if it is worth going back om a regular diet for 3 months to have blood tests done. I just feel like I need confirmation of what I am doing, but at the same time, is it worth it?
  5. I am going back to eating a reguler diet in order to have my diagnostic tests done and I was wondering, those of you who have returned back to a diet containing Gluten, how long did it take for your symptoms to return? I've had inconsistant symptoms even on a gluten-free diet, so I am trying to see if any of my symptoms worsen and how soon would I notice...
  6. Since I've been on my gluten-free diet, I still have been drinking Silk Soy milk, Soy yogurts, etc...I don't really avoid milk products, but I don't really use them anyhow... I still have inconsistant days, so I wondered if I should see if I am Lactose intolerant or allergic to soy... Does anyone know what specific tests they do for these? I feel like...
  7. It's funny...I am on this site because I'm looking for answers outside of my diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis and IBS, and you describe alot of symptoms I've dealt with for many years. There are many forms of UC and associations with skin issues as well. Have you had blood work up and a Colonoscopy done to rule out IBD? You can look at this site.. Open...
  8. Just wondering if you have been tested for Ulcerative Colitis or Crohns by any chance. Alot of the symptoms you describe are also symptoms of other GI issues. IBD and IBS all have very similar symptoms. I've been treated for IBD for many years and experienced many of the symptoms you described, and not until recently have I been trying to go gluten-free...
  9. Hey all, I am planning on having some blood work up done to see if I truly do have a Gluten Allergy. The reason I say "truly" is that I started on my own going gluten free about 3 weeks ago and for the first two weeks, all of my symptoms had diminished almost immediatley....yet over the past week, I've had some GI issues again and now it makes me wonder...
