  2. Thanks for the info and the welcome! My hemoglobin was down to 4.9, which is when they finally decided to do a transfusion. The hemotologist said it's a wonder I wasn't in a coma! Even after all the infusions, the highest it's gotten up to is 11.8, which is still below the reference range. I sure hope being gluten free helps. I'm tired of being sick...

  4. I'm very new to this (within the last 4 weeks) so I'm trying my very best to eat gluten free. I seem to be feeling better (less reflux, less pain) but I'm wondering what happens now if I make a mistake and eat gluten. Does it hurt? Do I get sick?
