I am so sorry for your loss. I had been gluten-free (also self diagnosed in 2002, I know it makes me sick, so I stay gluten-free) for about 6 years before I met my now husband (married 4 years now!). My mother's side is mostly Irish (they came over here on the ships in 1862 from Ireland) and some English on her mother's side. My father is Scottish through and through. Hi everyone. I've been gluten-free for about 6 years now, self-diagnosed. I have heard and read that celiac disease and lactose intolerance go hand in hand, and that after being diagnosed with celiac, you can develop a lactose intolerance.
