In a previous post someone said there is a 50 percent chance I have celiac disease since my mom does. Does that mean there is a 50 percent chance of having a gene for celiac disease? Or does it mean there is a 50 percent chance that I will "get" the disease? Just wondering.

Hi- I have a strong suspicion that my daughter(s) and I may have celiac disease. My mother has it. One of my daughters and I were tested about 4 years ago and we were both negative.
